Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) alat dan bahan apa saja yang digunakan dalam proses pengerjaan teknik Oksidasi di Gaya Ceramic and Design . (2)Proses Oksidasi itu di Gaya Ceramic and Design. (3) Rupa yang dihasilkan dari teknik Oksidasi di Gaya Ceramic and Design. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah industri produksi dari Marcello Massoni. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknik (1) observasi, (2) wawancara,(3) dokumentasi, dan (4) kepustakaan. Hasil temuan dalam penelitian ini adalah: (1) alat dan bahan yang digunakan dalam penerapa teknik Oksidasi di Gaya Ceramic and Design, alat: mesin pengolahan tanah, mesin penyaringan tanah, mesin pencampur tanah, timbangan tanah, ember, triplek, ember drim, putaran mesin, rak penyimpanan, putaran tangan (hand whell), timbangan glasir, tungku, sudip, butsir, pisau pemotong, senar pemotong, pahat, kuas, pulpen bekas, spon, alat penjepit, sendok sayur dan sutil, saringan glasir. Bahan: tanah liat, glasir, gas elpiji, lem, kulit padi (sekam) dan pasir. (2) proses pembuatan keramik dengan teknik Oksidasi di Gaya Ceramic and Design yang meliputi antara lain: Proses penyiapan bentuk keramik, proses pembentukan keramik, proses pengeringan pertama, proses pengeleman, proses pendekorasian, proses pengeringan tahap ke dua, proses pembakaran pertama, proses pengglasiran, proses pembakaran kedua dengan teknik Oksidasi. (3) Produk yang dihasilkan dari penerapan teknik oksidasi kulit padi (sekam) meliputi: teko, gelas minuman, mangkuk kecil, mangkuk besar, gelas sup, mangkuk minuman, tempat minuman. Produk yang dihasilkan dari penerapat teknik oksidasi pasir meliputi: teko, tempat pemerasan jeruk, tempat minum, tempat penyimpanan garam, tempat susu dan cream, tempat kopi, tempat alas makan, tempat lilin, tempat minuman teh, tempat sup, tempat nasi, tempat air minuman.

Abstract This research was aimed at describing: (1) tools and materials used in the process of oxidation technique at cheramic style and design. (2) The process of oxidation technique at cheramic style and design. (3) The product that was resulted from the process of oxidation technique at cheramic style and design. This study was a kind of descriptive research with qualitative approach. The subject in this study was production industry from Marcello Massoni. The process of data collection is done using several techniques, such as (1) observation, (2) interview, (3) dokumentation, and (4) literature. The findings of this research are: (1) Tools and material used in the oxidation process at cheramic style and design; tools: soil processing machine, soil filter machine, soil mixing machine, bucket, plywood, drum, wheel machine, shelf storage, fireplace, knife mower, strings mower, chisel, small brush, pen, sponge, brace, and spatula; Materials: clay, glazing, gas, glue, husk, and sand. (2) The process of making cheramic by using oxidation technique at cheramic style and design including: the preparation process of shaping the cheramic, the cheramic shaping process, first drying process, the process of giving glue, decoration process, second drying step, first burning step, the process of penglasiran, second burning step by oxidation technique. (3) The products that was resulted from the implementation of oxidation technique using husk were: teapot, glass, small bowl, big bowl, soup bowl, drinking bowl, and place for drinking. The producst that is resulted from the implementation of oxidation technique using sand were: teapot, orange distilation, place of drinking, salt storage, milk and cream storage, place for coffe, pedestial, candelabrum, place for tea, soup, rice, and water for drink.
