Efektivitas Metode Saintifik Berbasis Laboratorium Virtual Terhadap Keterampilan Proses Sains Dikaitkan dengan Gender

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan informasi bagaimana: (1)  aktivitas calon guru IPA (CG-IPA) mengikuti metode saintifik berbasis laboratorium virtual, (2) respons CG-IPA dalam mengikuti metode saintifik berbasis laboratorium virtual,  dan (3) keterampilan proses sains CG-IPA laki-laki dan perempuan dalam mengikuti metode saintifik berbasis laboratorium virtual, dan (4) perbedaan keterampilan proses sains CG-IPA  laki-laki dan perempuan dalam mengikuti  metode saintifik berbasis laboratorium virtual. Metode: eksperimen semu, dengan jumlah  populasi 53 CG-IPA angkatan 2018 di Program Studi Pendidikan IPA di FMIPA Universitas Negeri Makassar, terdiri dari 44  orang perempuan dan 9 laki-laki yang dipilih secara acak. Angket terdiri dari 10 pernyataan, lembar observasi dan tes keterampilan proses sains berbentuk pilihan ganda 10 butir soal yang valid dan reliabel. Hasil: (1) CG-IPA aktif dalam mengikuti metode saintifik berbasis laboratorium virtual, (2) tanggapan CG-IPA  terhadap pelaksanaan metode saintifik berbasis laboratorium virtual dari 53 responden, ditemukan bahwa pada umumnya CG-IPA  sangat tertarik, sangat baru, sangat berminat mengikuti metode saintifik berbasis laboratorium virtual  dan sangat mudah mempelajari seluruh komponen-komponen pendukung metode saintifik berbasis laboratorium virtual, (3) keterampilan proses sains CG-IPA perempuan termasuk dalam kategori tinggi dan laki-laki termasuk dalam kategori sangat tinggi, (4) terdapat perbedaan keterampilan proses sains antara CG-IPA perempuan dan laki-laki. Kesimpulan:  metode saintifik berbasis laboratorium virtual sangat efektif  diterapkan dalam menumbuhkembangkan  keterampilan proses sains.
