Abstract

Pada sekolah inklusif, terkadang belum sepenuhnya mampu memberikan akomodasi bagi peserta didik tunanetra, sehingga peserta didik tunanetra kesulitan dalam belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak pengembangan teknologi asistif terhadap peningkatan layanan pendidikan berbasis IPTEK bagi individu tunanetra. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode studi literature melalui review artikel atau penelitian terdahulu. Pencarian tahap pertama terkumpul 311 artikel yang membahas tentang teknologi asistif. Identifikasi berikutnya dilakukan dengan melihat judul, abstrak dan latar belakang. Penyaringan terakhir yaitu memfokuskan topik pada tahap efektivitas dan pengembangan sehingga menghasilkan 10 artikel untuk direview. Analisis data menggunakan meta sintesis dengan pendekatan metaetnografi yaitu penguatan kemampuan membaca pra dan permulaan Braille dalam konteks Indonesia. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat manfaat dari teknologi asistif bagi individu tunanetra baik dalam pembelajaran maupun orientasi dan mobilitas. Selain itu, teknologi asistif juga dapat meningkatkan layanan pendidikan berbasis IPTEK bagi siswa tunanetra. Dengan demikian, disimpulkan bahwa teknologi asistif memiliki dampak positif terhadap pembelajaran bagi siswa tunanetra. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa pengembangan dan penerapan teknologi asistif dapat membantu meningkatkan layanan pendidikan bagi individu tunanetra di lingkungan sekolah inklusif.
