Ubi banggai (Dioscorea sp.), Kinship of Variety, Phenotypic CharacterAbstrak
Ubi banggai is an alternative food from tubers that come from Banggai Island Regency, that have many varieties with various phenotypic characters. This research aimed to describe the relation of genetic variety of ubi banggai (Dioscore sp.) base on phenotypic characters. The type of research was descriptive, the research sample was obtained from North Tinangkung, Banggai Islands Regency, namely Palam Village, Luksagu Village and Bangpanga Village. The characterization referred to 15 morphometric characters, 2 meristic characters and 27 qualitative characters. The data was processed using the File Editor Program (PFE), analyzed using cluster analysis with the Multivariate Statistical Package (MVSP) program. Similarity index is calculated using the Simple Matching Coefficient method, dendogram reconstruction using the UPGMA algorithm. The results showed that 13 varieties of ubi banggai in Banggai Kepulauan Regency, Central Sulawesi formed 2 clusters and had a close relationship with the similarity index between 0.766-1.00%.Referensi
