Infestasi Pinjal, Kutu dan caplak Ektoparasit pada Kucing Kampung (Felis catus Linnaeus, 1758) di Kecamatan Saketi, Kabupaten Pandeglang, Banten

Ektoparasit yang menginfestasi kucing kampung (Felis catus Linn.) menimbulkan gangguan kesehatan pada kucing bahkan berperan sebagai penyebab langsung maupun vektor zoonosis. Tujuan penelitian ini mempelajari jenis, intensitas serangan dan prevalensi pinjal, kutu dan caplak ektoparasit pada F. catus di kecamatan Saketi, kabupaten Pandeglang. Sortasi, koleksi slide preparat, identifikasi hingga menentukan nilai dan kategori intensitas serangan dan prevalensi terhadap 560 ektoparasit yang diambil secara purposive sampling dari 28 individu F. catus pada 14 desa. Hasil penelitian ditemukan 3 jenis ektoparasit meliputi Felicola subrostratus (kutu), Ctenocephalides felis (pinjal) dan Ixodes ricinus (caplak). Pinjal C. felis memiliki intensitas serangan dan prevalensi paling tinggi secara berurutan 17,1 individu/hospes dan 100 %. Infestasi C. felis berpotensi menimbulkan zoonosis.
