Abstrak

Juvenile delinquency is a growing phenomenon along with social changes and the progress of the times, which affects the psychological development of adolescents who are still unstable. This study was conducted to determine the causes of juvenile delinquency in high school students and to understand the factors behind it, as well as the strategies used to overcome this delinquency. The approach used in this study was quantitative with a correlational method. The subjects of the study consisted of 30 high school students selected by purposive sampling. Data were collected through two scales, namely the juvenile delinquency scale and the social learning scale, which were measured using the Likert scale. Data analysis was carried out using the Pearson Product Moment correlation. The results showed that there was no significant relationship between social learning methods and juvenile delinquency, with a correlation value of 0.176 and a significance value of 0.352. This finding suggests that other factors, such as parenting patterns, social environment, and interaction with peers, have a more significant influence on juvenile delinquency behavior. This study concludes that social learning alone is not enough to overcome juvenile delinquency and suggests that other factors be considered in efforts to prevent juvenile delinquency.
