Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar teknik dasar passing bola basket melalui implementasi model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD pada siswa kelas VIIIB-4 SMPN 1 Busungbiu tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Penelitian ini tergolong penelitian tindakan kelas. Menggunakan 2 siklus. Subyek penelitian berjumlah 37 siswa terdiri dari 24 siswa putra dan 13 siswa putri. Analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil analisis data secara klasikal pada siklus I, tingkat aktivitas 5,19 (cukup aktif) dan hasil belajar teknik dasar passing bola basket 83.78% (baik). Siklus II secara klasikal tingkat aktivitas 7,61 (aktif) dan hasil belajar teknik dasar passing bola basket 100% (sangat baik). Berdasarkan data tersebut dapat dinyatakan bahwa terjadi peningkatan aktivitas belajar sebesar 2,42 dan hasil belajar 16,22% dari siklus I ke siklus II. Berdasarkan analisis data dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa aktivitas dan hasil belajar teknik dasar passing bola basket meningkat melalui implementasi model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD pada siswa kelas VIIIB-4 SMPN 1 Busungbiu tahun pelajaran 2012/2013.

Abstract : This study aims to improve the activity and the results of learning the basic techniques of passing a basketball through the implementation of cooperative learning model type STAD in class VIIIB-4 SMPN 1 Busungbiu school year 2012/2013. This research study considered a class act. Using 2 cycles. Amounted to 37 students study subjects consisted of 24 boys and 13 girls students. Analysis of the data using descriptive statistical analysis. The results of data analysis in the classical style in the first cycle, the level of activity of 5.19 (moderately active) and the result of learning the basic techniques of basketball passing 83.78% (excellent). Cycle II in the traditional 7.61 level of activity (active) and the result of learning the basic techniques of basketball passing 100% (very good). Based on these data it can be stated that an increase of 2.42 learning activities and learning outcomes of 16.22% from cycle I to cycle II. Based on data analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that the activity and the results of learning the basic techniques of basketball passing up through the implementation of cooperative learning model type STAD in class VIIIB-4 SMPN 1 Busungbiu school year 2012/2013.
