This study aimed to improve the activity and learning result of basic techniques of football passing control (leg inside) through the implementation of cooperative learning model with STAD type toward students grade XI IPS 2 SMA Negeri 1 Sidemen. This research was class action research. It was conducted in two cycles, and it was consisted of action planning, action implementation, evaluation, and reflection steps. The subjects of this research were 26 students grade XI IPS 2 SMA Negeri 1 Sidemen (20 male students and 6 female students). The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics analysis. The result of analysis revealed that the average of students’ learning activity in cycle I classically was 6.9 (quite active) and 8.2 (active) in the cycle II. Cycle 1 to cycle 2 was increased by 1,3. As for the thoroughness of learning outcome in the cycle I was 61,5% (incomplete) and 100% (complete) in the cycle II. Cycle 1 to cycle 2 was increased by 38,5%. Based on the data analysis and discussion, it can be conclude that the activity and learning result of basic techniques of football passing increased through the implementation of cooperative learning model with STAD type toward students grade XI IPS 2 SMA Negeri 1 Sidemen school year 2015/2016.
