This study aims in improving the activity and the result of learning of long jump through the implementation of type TPS cooperative learning model f to the students of class XI IA-2 in SMA Negeri 1 Sukasada. This study belongs to classroom action research that involves the teacher as the researcher. This study is conducted in two cycles consisting of planning phase, action phase, observation or evaluation phase and reflection. The subject of this study is the students of XI IA-2 in SMA Negeri 1 Sukasada. The numbers of students are 20 students consisting of 7 male and 13 female. The data is analyzed by using the descriptive statistic. Based on the result of the analysis regarding to the activity in learning of long jump technique in the early observation is 5.60 (active enough), and in cycle 1 is increasing into 6.84 (active enough) and 8.49 (active) in cycle 2. Meanwhile the percentage of the result in learning of in long jump technique from the early observation 68.10% (good enough), in cycle 1 is 75.07% (good enough) and 87.02 % (good) in cycle 2. Based on the result of data analysis and the discussion, it can be concluded that the activity and the learning result of long jump technique through the implementation of type TPS cooperative learning model in the students of class XI IA-2 in SMA Negeri 1 Sukasada in academic year 2013/2014. It is suggested to the sport and health teacher to use the type TPS cooperative learning model, since it has been proven that this model is effective in improving the activity and the result of learning
