PENGARUH RAGAM HIAS GEOMETRI TERHADAP KECERDASAN VISUAL-SPASIAL PADA ANAK GUGUS V KECAMATAN KEDIRI KABUPATEN TABANAN

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan yang signifikan kecerdasan visual-spasial antara anak yang mendapat pembelajaran ragam hias geometri dengan anak yang mendapat pembelajaran konvensional (exspositori) kelompok B di gugus V Kecamatan Kediri Kabupaten Tabanan Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan menggunakan non equivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh anak kelompok B gugus V Kecamatan Kediri Kabupaten Tabanan yang berjumlah 148 orang. Teknik penentuan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik cluster sampling. Sampel penelitian ini adalah anak-anak kelompok B1 di Taman Kanak-Kanak Sartika Nyitdah yang berjumlah 15 orang anak sebagai kelompok eksperimen yang diberikan pembelajaran ragam hias geometri dan anak kelompok B2 di Taman Kanak-Kanak Cipta Karya II Pejaten yang berjumlah 14 orang anak sebagai kelompok kontrol yang diberikan pembelajaran konvensional (exspositori). Data hasil kecerdasan visual-spasial anak dikumpulkan dengan teknik observasi yang dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis anava satu jalur (one way anava). Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh thitung adalah 7,770 dan ttabel dengan taraf siginifikan 5% dan derajat kebebasan (db) 27 adalah 2,052 dengan demikian thitung>ttabel. Berdasarkan kriteria pengujian, maka HA diterima yaitu terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan kecerdasan visual-spasial antara anak yang mendapat pembelajaran ragam hias geometri dengan anak yang mendapat pembelajaran konvensional (exspositori). Adapun nilai rata-rata anak kelompok yang diberikan pembelajaran ragam hias geometri yaitu 56,33 lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok dengan pembelajaran konvensional (exspositori) yaitu 29,30. Dari penelitian ini dapat disarankan agar sekolah membuat program pengembangan kecerdasan visual-spasial dengan treatment yang terbukti unggul yakni pembelajaran ragam hias.Kata Kunci : ragam hias, kecerdasan visual-spasial
The aimed of this study is to find out the significant different of visual-spatial intelligence between the students who were treated by geometric ornamental learning and those who were treated by conventional learning (expository) in group B cluster V in Kediri District, Tabanan Regency in academic year 2016/2017. It was a quasi-experimental research which used non-equivalent control group design. The population of this study was 148 students from group B in cluster V in Kediri District, Tabanan Regency. In addition, the samples of this study were selected by administering cluster random sampling. From that population, the samples of this study were 15 students of group B1 in Kartika Sartika Nyitdah Kindergarten as experimental group treated by geometric ornamental learning and 14 students of group B2 in Cipta Karya II Pejaten Kindergarten as control group treated by conventional learning (expository). The data of visual-spatial intelligence were obtained by observation technique and analyzed quantitatively by using one way anava. It was found that tobs is 7.770 and ttable is 2.025 (α=0.05) in the degree of freedom (df) 27. Therefore, in terms of hypothesis testing, it showed that Ha is accepted. It means that there is a significant different of visual-spatial intelligence between the students who were treated by geometric ornamental learning and those who were treated by conventional learning (expository). Besides, it could be proven by the result of the mean score of both groups in which the mean score of experimental group (56.33) is higher than the mean score of control group (29.30). As a suggestion, the researcher propose geometric ornamental learning as media which was proven to develop visual-spatial intelligence of the students.
