PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE TEAMS GAMES TOURNAMENT (TGT) BERBANTUAN MEDIA KOTAK POS GEOMETRI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PERKEMBANGAN KOGNITIF ANAK

Permasalahan yang terdapat pada penelitian ini mengenai rendahnya kemampuan kognitif anak dalam mengenal bentuk geometri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan perkembangan kognitif setelah penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) berbantuan media kotak pos geometri pada anak Kelompok B Semester II Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014 Di TK Tunas Mekar. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah Anak Kelompok B Semeseter II Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014 TK Tunas Mekar, sebanyak 16 orang. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode observasi dan instrument pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis statistik deskriptif dan metode analisis statistik deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kognitif setelah penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) berbantuan media kotak pos geometri pada anak Kelompok B Semester II Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014 Di TK Tunas Mekar sebesar 19,25%. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari adanya peningkatan rata-rata persentase kemampuan kognitif anak pada siklus I sebesar 69,00% dengan kriteria sedang menjadi sebesar 88,25% pada siklus II yang ada pada kriteria tinggi. Dengan demikian penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) mampu meningkatkan perkembangan kognitif anak kelompok B semester II tahun elajaran 2013/2014 Di TK Tunas Mekar.Kata Kunci : Teams Games Tournament (TGT), media kotak pos geometeri, perkembangan kognitif
The problems found in this study regarding the low cognitive abilities of children in recognizing geometric shapes.This research is aimed to know the increase of cognitive development through the implementation of cooperative learning model Teams Games Tournament (TGT) post box geometry media in group B students of TK Tunas Mekar in academic year 2013/2014.This research is action based research that was done in two cycles. The subject is group B students of TK Tunas Mekar in academic year 2013/2014, that consist of 16 students. The collecting data was done by using observation method and the instrument used is the observation sheet. This research used statistik descriptive analysis and statistik descriptive analysis method. The result of this research shows that increasing of the cognitive development after the implementation of cooperative learning model Teams Games Tournament (TGT) post box geometry in group B students of TK Tunas Mekar in academic year 2013/2014 is 19,25%. It can be seen based on the average percentage of the students languge skill in cycle I is 69,00% with fair criteria increase 88,25% in cycle II with high criteria. Therefore, the implementation of this model is able to increase the cognitive development of group B students of TK Tunas Mekar in academic year 2013/2014.
