PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KONTEKSTUAL TIPE EXPLICIT INSTRUCTION BERBANTUAN MEDIA FLANEL EDUKATIF UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KOGNITIF ANAK KELOMPOK B SEMESTER II TK GANESHA DENPASAR TAHUN AJARAN 2013/2014

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kognitif anak kelompok B di TK Ganesha Denpasar dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kontekstual tipe explicit instruction berbantuan media flannel edukatif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah 15 orang anak TK pada kelompok B semester II tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Data penelitian tentang perkembangan kognitif dikumpulkan dengan metode observasi dengan instrumen berupa lembar format observasi dan metode wawancara dengan instrumen berupa lembar format percakapan. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan wawancara ditemukan permasalahan pada kognitif anak. Oleh karena itu, peneliti beserta guru yang terkait melakukan pembaharuan pada proses pembelajaran di kelas, dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kontekstual tipe explicit instruction berbantuan media flanel edukatif. Setelah melakukan suatu penelitian didapatkan hasil analisis data yakni pada siklus I sebesar 55,73% yang berada pada kategori rendah ternyata mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II menjadi 81,03% tergolong pada kategori tinggi. maka, terjadi peningkatan kemampuan kognitif anak sebesar 25,3%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kontekstual tipe explicit instruction berbantuan media flanel edukatif dapat meningkatkan perkembangan kognitif dalam bidang pengetahuan umum dan sains anak kelompok B1 semester genap di TK Ganesha Denpasar tahun ajaran 2013/2014.

This study aims to determine the cognitive enhancement in kindergarten children in group B Denpasar Ganesha by applying contextual learning model of explicit instruction type flannel aided educational media. This research is an action research conducted in two cycles. Subjects were 15 kindergarten children in group B the second semester of the academic year 2013/2014. Data collected research on cognitive development with the method of observation with the instrument in the form of sheets of format observation and interviews with the instrument in the form of a conversation format sheet. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and quantitative descriptive analysis. Based on observations and interviews found cognitive problems in children. Therefore, researchers and teachers related to the reform process in the classroom, by applying the explicit type of contextual learning model-assisted instruction flannel educational media. After doing some research on the analysis of data obtained in the first cycle of 55.73% which is at the low category was experiencing an increase in cycle II to 81.03% belong to the higher category. hence, an increase in child cognitive ability by 25.3%. Based on these results it can be concluded that the type of contextual learning model of explicit instruction flannel aided educational media can enhance cognitive development in the field of children's general knowledge and science group B1 semester Ganesha in Denpasar kindergarten school year 2013/2014.
