Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan kognitif dengan penerapan metode eksperimen pada anak usia 4 -5 tahun Semester I di TK Saiwa Dharma Banyuning Singaraja Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017. Subjek penelitian ini melibatkan 24 anak. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Data tentang kemampuan kognitif anak dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan metode observasi. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif dan metode analisis statistik inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode eksperimen dapat meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif dengan adanya peningkatan gains skor anak pada siklus I adalah 0,37 yang berada pada katagori sedang. Gains skor pada siklus II sebesar 0,72 berda pada katagori tinggi

This study aims to determine the cognitive ability increases with the application of the experimental method in children aged 4 -5 years of the first semester in kindergarten Saiwa Dharma Banyuning Singaraja in the academic year 2016/2017. Subjects of this study involving 24 children. This research is a classroom action research. Data on the cognitive abilities of children in this study were collected by using observation method. Data analysis in this research using descriptive analysis and inferential statistical analysis methods. The results showed that the application of the experimental method can improve cognitive abilities with an increase in gains scores of children in the first cycle was 0.37 which are in the moderate category. Gains score on the second cycle of 0.72 arriving in the high category
