IMPLEMENTASI PENDIDIKAN TEKNO-HUMANISTIK (Reinventing Pasraman for Next-Century School)

Mengawali paparan ijinkan saya mengajak Ibu dan Bapak peserta orientasi untuk membaca cukilan dua artikel yang ditulis penulis kondang J. Sumardianta dalam buku berjudul Guru Gokil Murid Unyuk, terbitan Bentang Pustaka Tahun 2013. Artikel pertama yang, mengisahkan dialog orang tua murid dan guru yang selengkapnya seperti kisah berikut : “Bu Nadia melihat putrinya Muriel, menangis sepulang sekolah sambil menenteng tas biola. Anak berumur 8 tahun itu sedih karena gurunya meniadakan pelajaran musik di kelas. Semalaman Bu Nadia (begitu Ibu muda ini biasa disapa oleh koleganya) merasa dongkol , sewot, dan memendam marah. Ia tidak bisa tidur memikirkan kekecewaan putrinya. Bu Nadia bertekad berdiskusi dengan guru agar mereka paham makna dan dampak kekecewaan bagi murid yang diasuhnya.
Keesokan harinya, Bu Nadia berusaha menenangkan diri. Ia memutuskan untuk mencari tahu apa persisnya yang terjadi di sekolah sebelum berdiskusi dengan guru. Bu Nadia menemui guru sebelum pelajaran dimulai. "Putri saya mencintai biola . Saya ingin tahu mengapa anak-anak tidak boleh lagi berlatih biola di sekolah?" ujar Bu Nadia.
