Abstract

Bahan bacaan atau media massa lainnya bagi tahanan sangatlah penting. Namun, dikarenakan kurangnya anggaran ditambah kondisi rutan yang tidak kondusif membuat para tahanan sedikit kurang minatnya terhadap bahan bacaan di Rutan. Penulisan ini menggunakan pendekatan Kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode kajian literatur, penulis mengambil sumber-sumber informasi dari media massa seperti: artikel, jurnal, website (internet), dan buku. Bahan bacaan atau media massa bagi tahanan dapat mengurangi tingkat stress tahanan di rutan, selain itu juga dapat menambah ilmu, pengetahuan, dan wawasan tahanan, serta memberikan informasi kepada tahanan terhadap berita-berita yang terjadi diluar tembok rutan. Dengan hal demikian, diharapkan setelah keluar para tahanan memiliki bekal ilmu pengetahuan.
