Studi Kasus Tentang Kekerasan dan Dampaknya Terhadap Perkembangan Koginif Anak di Desa Kalibukbuk, Kecamatan Buleleng, Kabupaten Buleleng

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui : (1) faktor penyebab terjadinya kekerasan dalam rumah tangga di Desa Kalibukbuk; (2) implikasi kekerasan dalam rumah tangga (KDRT) terhadap perkembangan kognitif anak; (3) upaya mengatasi terganggunya perkembangan kognitif anak akibat KDRT. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Subyek penelitian ini adalah Kepala Unit PPA Polres Buleleng, Kepala Desa dan Aparat Desa Kalibukbuk dan para pihak terlibat langsung dalam tindak pidana KDRT (suami – istri – anak) serta Guru di sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan:(1) kekerasan dalam rumah tangga dipicu oleh kondisi sosial ekonomi yang kurang layak, rendahnya kualitas komunikasi, ketidak-harmonisan, perselingkuhan dan rendahnya pengendalian diri; (2) kekerasan dalam rumah tangga berdampak pada perkembangan kognitif anak karena secara psikologis anak mengalami distorsi kepercayaan diri yang ditandai gejala malas belajar, kesulitan dalam berkonsentrasi saat belajar dan menerima pelajaran sehingga nilai ulangan buruk yang mengakibatkan nilai raport menurun; (3) untuk mengatasi terganggunya perkembangan kognitif anak akibat KDRT dapat dilakukan dengan pemberian konseling dan pendekatan secara personal dengan melibatkan guru dan orang tua.Kata Kunci : Anak, Kekerasan Dalam Rumah Tangga, Perkembangan Kognitif
This research aimed at investigating the (1) causal factor of domestic violence in Kalibukbuk village; (2) implication of domestic violence upon the children’s cognitive development; (3) effort to overcome the disturbed children’s cognitive development due to domestic violence. This study used qualitative descriptive research design. The subjects of this study were the Head Police Officer (PPA PolresBuleleng), village’s apparatus, and people who involved in domestic violence case (father, mother, and children) and teacher in school. The result of this research showed that (1) the domestic violence occurred due to improper social and economic situation, low quality of communication, disharmony, dishonesty and low self-control; (2) the domestic violence impacted on children’s cognitive development because the children, psychologically, experienced the distortion in their self-confident in which they tend to be lazy in study, feel difficult in concentration when learning, therefore they got poor score and caused the score in school report become worsen; (3) in overcoming the disturbed children’s cognitive development caused by domestic violence, it can be done by giving directive counseling and personal approach which involves teacher and parents.
