Survei Deskriptif Fitur-fitur pada Smartphone dalam Mendukung Kegiatan Akademis di Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (UNDIKSHA)

Abstract

Abstrak-- Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengalisis dukungan penggunaan smartphone bagi dosen dan mahasiswa di UNDIKSHA yang diukur berdasarkan faktor-faktor pendukung penggunaan smartphone dan menganalisis penggunaan fitur pada smartphone oleh dosen dan mahasiswa dalam kegiatan akademis. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh dosen dan mahasiswa UNDIKSHA yang menggunakan smartphone serta aktif pada kegiatan akademis tahun akademik 2014/2015. Sampel dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 109 orang dosen dan 385 orang mahasiswa, menggunakan probability sampling, simple random sampling dan proportionate stratified random sampling sebagai teknik pengambilan data. Data penelitian dihimpun menggunakan angket dan dianalisis dengan metode analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat penggunaan smartphone untuk mendukung kegiatan akademis berada pada kategori sangat tinggi dengan faktor motivasi yakni 90.51% terdapat 3 kelompok fitur yang mendominasi penggunaan smartphone yakni kelompok fitur perhitungan terdapat fitur kalkulator sebesar 99%, kelompok fitur penyimpanan data dengan fitur kontak mencapai 99% ,fitur galeri sebesar 97% dan fitur Dropbox sebesar 71%, kelompok fitur dokumentasi diwakili dengan fitur kamera yang mencapai 97%, fitur video mencapai 81% dan fitur recorder hanya mencapai 51%. Kata kunci: survei, fitur smartphone, faktor pendukung Abstract -- This research is to analy the Support of using smartphone for lectures and students in UNDIKSHA which was measured based on supporting factors of how smartphones are use and to analyse what features are used by lectures and students in academic activities. All of this research population are all of the lectures and the students of UNDIKSHA who active using smartphone and in their academic activities in year of 2014/2015. All of the samples are consisted of 109 lectures and 385 students that was chosen by using probability sampling, simple random sampling and proportionate stratified random sampling as technique to collect the data The research data were collected by using Poll and analyzed by using descriptive analysis method.The research showed that the level of using smartphone to support academic activities in very high level category with motivation factor rmeached 90,51% consisted 3 feature grups that dominating the use of smartphone that is calculation feature group there is 99% calculator feature, storage feature group with contact feature 99% galery feature 97% dropbox feature 71%,documentation feature group was represented by camera feature 97%,video feature 81% and recorder feature only 51% Key word: survey, smartphone features, supporting factor.
