Abstract

Abstrak—Kegiatan generasi muda Bali dalam melestarikan kebudayaan Bali masih kurang. Salah satu kebudayaan Bali tersebut adalah pupuh. Pupuh disebut juga tembang macapat karena pada umumnya dibaca dengan sistem membaca empat-empat suku kata. Kegiatan yang dilakukan dalam membuat pupuh masih sedikit karena dianggap membosankan sehingga pupuh perlu dikemas lebih menarik dalam bentuk permainan. Tujuan dari penelitian pengembangan Game Edukasi Tradisional Pupuh Berbasis Android adalah untuk merancang, mengimplementasikan dan mengetahui respon pengguna terhadap Game Edukasi Tradisional Pupuh Berbasis Android. Pengembangan Game Edukasi Tradisional Pupuh Berbasis Android menggunakan siklus SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle). Sedangkan model yang digunakan adalah Rapid Application Development (RAD). RAD merupakan pengembangan dari model klasik waterfall. RAD mengutamakan kecepatan dalam setiap fase sehingga mengurangi waktu pengembangan sistem. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu Game Edukasi Tradisional Pupuh Berbasis Android telah diimplementasikan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman Java dengan editor Android Studio dan Library Andengine. Seluruh kebutuhan fungsional telah berhasil diimplementasikan sesuai dengan rancangan. Respon user terhadap Game Edukasi Tradisional Pupuh Berbasis Android dikategorikan baik Kata Kunci—Pupuh, Game, Android. Abstract—The activity of young generation in conserving Balinese culture is rarely done. One of balinese cultures is called pupuh. Pupuh is known as mecepat because it uses reading system in which it is read in four part of words. The activity in creating pupuh is believed as boring activity therefore it is rarely done by young generation. The aim of this study is to of pupuh traditional education game in android version is that to plan, implement, and find the response of user toward pupuh traditional education game. The development of pupuh traditional education game used SDLC (Software Debelopment Life Cycle). Meanwhile the model used RAD (Rapid Application Development). This model is the development of clasic model waterfall. RAD focus on speed in each phase then it deduct time of development system. The result of this study is Pupuh Traditional Education Game in Android. Android is implemented by using Java language programming and using Android Studio and Library Andengine editor. All of the functional needs is already implemented as the design proposed. The users' response through Pupuh Traditional Education Game in Android is categorized as great.
