Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Redaksi Jurnal Komunikasi Hukum menerima naskah dalam bidang ilmu hukum
  • Naskah tidak mengandung plagiarism dan belum pernah diterbitkan di jurnal lain
  • Naskah harus memenuhi pedoman di dalam menulis naskah sesuai dengan arahan dari jurnal komunikasi hukum
  • Penulisan judul naskah harus singkat dan mencerminkan isi tulisan, dituliskan di tengah halaman (Maksimal 12 kata, istilah dicetak miring).
  • Naskah diketik dengan spasi 1,5 pada kertas A4, dan diserahkan dalam bentuk naskah dan CD, pengelolaan kata menggunakan MS Word, huruf Cambria, Font 12.

ABSTRACT (12 pt Bold Italic)

This is a new author guidelines and article template of KOMUNIKASI HUKUM journal since publication year 2015. Article should be started by Title of Article Followed by Authors and Affiliation Name Address and email and abstract. This abstract section should be typed in Italic font and font size of 11 pt and number of words of 150-200. Special for the abstract section, please use the left margin of 35 mm, right margin of 30 mm, right and bottom margins of 20 mm. The single spacing between lines should be used in this article. If the article is written in Indonesian, the abstract should be typed in Indonesian and English. Meanwhile, if the article is written in English, the abstract should be typed in English only. The abstract should be typed as concise as possible and should be composed of: statement of the problem, methods, scientific finding results, and short conclusion. The abstract should only be typed in one paragraph and one column format.

1. Introduction

This section should be composed of: first, general background; second, state of the art. It should present the problem being investigated and the novelty proven by state of the art. State also the purpose or goal of the article in the last part/paragraph of the introduction.

KOMUNIKASI HUKUM JOURNAL (p-ISSN: 2356-4164; e-ISSN: 2407-4276) : Welcome to the official website of KOMUNIKASI HUKUM journal, source of references for law academicians and practitioners. KOMUNIKASI HUKUM journalis a peer-reviewed journal that publishes scientific articles in the field of law. The published articles are results of original scientific research and review of legal interactions.

KOMUNIKASI HUKUM journalis published by Faculty of Law and Social Sciences of Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha Singaraja. KOMUNIKASI HUKUM journal accepts manuscripts or articles in the field of law or legal studies from both national and international academicians and researchers. The articles published in KOMUNIKASI HUKUM journal have already been selected and reviewed by Mitra Bestari or peer-reviewers. The acceptance of the articles to KOMUNIKASI HUKUM journal publication is the right of Editorial Board based on recommendations from Mitra Bestari. KOMUNIKASI HUKUM journalis published two times in a year (February and August). You must follow the writing guidelines in order to submit your article.

2. Title, Author, Addressand E-mail

State a title for the manuscript, type in center, author (name without academic degree), author affiliations and e-mail should be included and typed below the title. Use double spacing between the title and the author’s. Use single spacing between the author’s and the abstract. Provide approximately 3 up to 5 keywords below the abstract of each language (e.g. abstract written in Indonesian and English). Type keywords in alphabetical order and separated by comma. If your article is written in Indonesian, provide the title in English along with the English abstract (see example above).

If the author is more than one, type the names in single space. If the author's name consists of two words, the first name should not be abbreviated. If it consists of only one, type the name. However, in the online version (HTML), the one word name will be typed in two words or repeated for the purpose of indexing metadata. Any information about revision and acceptance of the article will be notifiedonly via e-mail of the author.

 

3. General Instructions for Writing Article

Write your manuscript based on the instruction (in MS Word format, use template of this article) and submitthrough one of the following ways:

  2. Manuscript can be submitted by Online Submission System on the Portal of KOMUNIKASI HUKUM journal (https://ejournal.undiksha.ac.id/index.php/jkh), sign in up as Author/Writer is required.

The instruction for submitting manuscript by daring can be found on the submit online instruction below. Any manuscript which does not apply the instructions and template will be sent back to the author before being reviewed. Manuscripts submitted to the journal must have the following components: (a) TITLE, (b) Name of the author (without degree), (c) Author affiliation, (d) E-mail , (e) ABSTRACT and Keywords, (f) INTRODUCTION, (g) METHODS, (g) DISCUSSION, (h) CLOSING, and (j) REFERENCES.

Provide subtitles of the article body (Introduction, Methods, Discussion, and Conclusion) without consecutive number or letter. Type the subtitles in Bold and Title Case format and align to the left without underline. Type the sub headings in Bold and Sentence Case format and justify to the left and use the two-level numbering format.

Manuscript can be written in Indonesian or English with no more than 25 pages including the figures and tables. It must be typed according to the template and ready-to-print (camera ready). The page size is A4 (210 x 297 mm) with left margin (inside) of 25 mm, right margin (outside) of 20 mm, top margin of 30 mm and bottom margin of 25 mm. Type in Times New Roman font and font size of 11 pt, use single spacing and two-column format (except for article title, author name, institution address, e-mail, and abstract). The distance between the columns is 5 mm.

Foreign words or terms should be typed in Italic font. Avoid using foreign terms if you write article in Indonesian. Start a new paragraph on 6.35 mm from the left boundary, don’t give space between paragraphs.

Place Tables and Figures in a text group exactly below where they are cited on the page. Provide title for every image (Figure Caption) and table (Table Caption) and type it below the image or table as well as the number in Arabic followed by the image and table’s title and source. Any pictures included in the manuscript should be clear enough (in term of font size, resolution, and size of the line). Images, tables, and diagrams/schematics should be placed with in their corresponding paragraph. If it is too large, place among paragraphs in the center of the page.

4. Guidelines for Writing the Content of Article

TITLE: Type the title in capital letter simmetrically. Make the title short and clear. Your article’s title should reflect its content and stated problems clearly, enabling readers to decide whether it’s relevant for them. However, It should not bring diverse interpretations to readers. Avoid using any uncommon abbreviations. State the main ideas of the article first and then the explanation.

INTRODUCTION: Introduction must be composed of general background, previous literature review or state of the art as basis statement of scientific novelty of the article, research problems or hypothesis. State the research problems being investigated in the last part of the introduction. It is not allowed to type review of literature like in research report butit must be typed in the form of state of the art to demonstrate scientific novelty of the article. Research problems/questions should be included.

METHODS: This section should be a straight forward description of the type of methods used in your study. If your study employs normative research, it should explain the approach component to the problems or issue to be discussed, whether it is legislative or statute approach, conceptual approach, case approach, comparative approach or historical approach. If your study employs empirical research, it should provide data component, whether primary, secondary or tertiary data.

DISCUSSION: This is where you present the results or findings of your research as well as its meaning or scientific discussion. Provide a description of the regulation and on the facts as well as its analysis based on the approach to the problems. In addition, you should explain the comparison of your result with the result of other related studies. However, the results and findings of your research must be linked back to the introduction, referring to your research problems/questions.

CLOSING

Conclusion: This section states the major results of the discussion. Conclusion is not repetition of what you have written in discussion section but rather to a summary of the results as expected.

Recommendation: It talks about suggestions of practical applications from the results of your research and what next steps or further ideas in your research will be.

References: Include all references that have been cited in the text, at least 10 (ten) references. The references should be well considered which might be taken only from primary source of legislation and books or journals published in the last 10 (ten) years.

You should use reference management application program, such as: Mendeley, EndNote, Zotero, etc to write the reference format and bibliography.
