Teknologi exoskeleton atau kerangka baja pendukung fungsi tubuh manusia sedang berkembang di dunia saat ini, termasuk pengembangannya sebagai sebuah senjata. Teknologi baru yang disebut dapat meningkatkan kekuatan tiap individu secara signifikan ini mendimbulkan keraguan dalam pengembangannya terkait status dan pengelompokan pengguna teknologi ini. Keraguan ini mengarah kepada prinsip proporsional dalam hukum humaniter dalam penggunaan teknologi ini sebagai sebuah senjata, pertanyaan lain yang juga mencuat adalah, belum adanya kepastian kekuatan perusak yang dihasilkan teknologi ini sebagai senjata sehingga perlukah penggunaannya dibatasi di masa yang akan datang.
