KONTRIBUSI KOMUNIKASI INTERPERSONAL TERHADAP PENYESUAIAN DIRI SISWA KELAS VIII SMP NEGERI 2 SAWAN TAHUN PELAJARAN 2013/2014

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui besarnya determinasi komunikasi interpersonal terhadap penyesuaian diri siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Sawan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Ex Post Facto dengan subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Sawan tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 214. Terdapat dua jenis variabel dalam penelitian ini yaitu variabel bebas adalah komunikasi interpersonal dan variabel terikat adalah penyesuaian diri siswa. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode kuesioner. Data dianalisis dengan melakukan uji prasyarat yang meliputi uji normalitas, uji linieritas dan keberartian arah regresi. Uji hipotesis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis korelasi product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kontribusi komunikasi interpersonal terhadap penyesuaian diri siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Sawan. Hubungan kedua variabel ini bersifat positif dengan nilai ry = 0,883. Besar kontribusi komunikasi interpersonal terhadap penyesuaian diri siswa adalah77,97%. Artinya semakin baik kualitas komunikasi interpersonal, maka semakin baik pula penyesuaian diri siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 2 Sawan.Kata Kunci : komuniasi interpersonal, penyesuaian diri siswa
This research is aimed to investigate the margin of interpersonal communication determination towards students’ self-adjustment of class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Sawan. This research is defined as Ex Post-Facto research type in which the students of class VIII SMP 2 Sawan are the research samples. Samples in this research are 214 students. There are two variables in this research namely; independent variable which is interpersonal communication and dependent variable which is students’ self-adjustment. Data is collected through questioner. Data is analyzed through some methodological ways, such as; normality test, linearity test, and significance of regression direction. Hypothesis testing in this research uses Product Moment Correlation Analysis technique. The result of this research isthere is a significance of interpersonal communication towards students’ self-adjustment of class viii SMP Negeri 2 Sawan. Correlation between independent variable and dependent variable is positive, it is proven with RY value = 0,883 and value of interpersonal communication towards students’ self-adjustment = 77,97%. It means that the better the quality of interpersonal communication of the studentsthe better self-adjustmentthey possess.
