PENGARUH PELATIAHN HOLLOW SPRINT TERHADAP KECEPATAN DAN KAPASITAS VITAL PARU

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pelatihan Hollow Sprint terhadap kecepatan dan kapasitas vital paru-paru. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa putra kelas V SD Negeri Tulangampiang Denpasar Tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 yang berjumlah 54 0rang. Kemudian subjek dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok, yaitu 27 kelompok perlakuan dan 27 kelompok kontrol dengan menggunakan teknik Ordinal Pairing.Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu dengan rancangan penelitian the non-randomized pretest posttest control group design, kecepatan diukur dengan tes lari 50 meter sedangkan kapasitas vital paru-paru diukur dengan instrumen spirometer, selanjutnya data dianalisis dengan uji-t independent pada taraf signifikansi α = 0,05. data dianalisis dengan bantuan program SPSS 16,0.Hasil analisis data menunjukkan adanya peningkatan nilai rata-rata untuk kelompok perlakuan variabel kecepatan Nilai meningkat 1.19 detik. Kelompok kontrol untuk variabel kecepatan mengalami peningkatan nilai rata-rata sebesar 0.40 detik. Untuk variabel kapasitas vital paru-paru juga mengalami penigkatan rata-rata. Kelompok perlakuan mengalami peningkatan rata-rata sebesar 196,30. Sedangkan kelompok kontrol mengalami penigkatan rata-rata 14,81. Berdasarkan analisis data dan pembahasan maka disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan hollow sprint dapat meningkatkan kecepatan dan kapasitas vital paru-paru. Dengan tingkat signifikansi hitung untuk kecepatan -16,691 (sig = 0,000), dan kapasitas vital paru-paru 2,872 (sig = 0,006). Disarankan bagi pelaku olahraga (pembina, pelatih, guru olahraga dan atlet) untuk menggunakan pelatihan hollow sprint sebagai salah satu alternatif dalam meningkatkan kecepatan dan kapasitas vital paru-paru.Kata Kunci : Pelatihan hollow sprint, kecepatan, kapasitas vital paru-paru
This study aimed was to investigate the effect of Hollow Sprint exercise toward students’ speed and lungs’ vital capacity of male students. The subject of this study was the 54 male students of grade 5 Tulangampiang elementary school in Denpasar in the academic year 2013/2014. The subject was divided into two groups: 27 students in control group and 27 students in experimental group. The sample was chosen by ordinal pairing technique.This research was experimental research by non-randomized pretest posttest control group design. The lungs speed was measured by the mean of 50 meters running test, meanwhile the vital capacity of lugs was measured by the instrument of spirometer. The data was analyzed by independent T-test on the significance α=0.05. The data was analyzed by the help of SPSS application 16.0.The result of data analysis showed that there was a significant improvement of experimental group’s mean score on speed increased 1.19 second. Meanwhile the control group’s mean score increased for about 0.40 second. For the variable of lungs’ vital capacity, the mean score was also increased on the experimental group. The mean score of experimental group was increased for about 196.30. Meanwhile, the mean score of control group was increased for about 14.81.Based on the result of data analysi and the discussion, it can be concluded that the hollow sprint exercise can improve the speed and lungs’ vital capacity. By the level of significance for speed -16.691 (sig=0.000) and lungs’ vital capacity 2.872 (sig=0.006). It is recommended for trainer, coach, teacher, and athlete to use hollow sprint exercise as one of alternatives to increase speed and lungs’ vital capacity.
