This study aims to determine the effect of acceleration on agility training run and VO2max. This type of research is a real experiment with the modified randomized pretest posttest control group design. 32 samples are determined by simple random sampling technique. Agility is measured using a test run with the Illinois Agility and VO2max tests MFT, then the data were analyzed with SPSS 16.0. The results of the analysis of data on acceleration run training for agility is 0.6994, while the acceleration run training for VO2max is 1.9213, whereas the control group also increased as a result of conventional training given in an increase agility by 0.3344 and 1.2281 on an increase in VO2max. The results of the independent t-test agility variables between treatment group and control group obtained by t-count is 12.637, while the independent t-test results on variable VO2max between the treatment and control groups obtained by t-count is 2.306. From the results of the data analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that; (1) training run acceleration affect the increased agility in male students in class VIII at SMP N 1 Seririt 2014. (2) Training run acceleration affect the increase in VO2max in male students in class VIII of SMP N 1 Seririt 2014.
