Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan kognitif anak yang dimiliki masing-masing anak PAUD Widya Dharma Bondalem. Desain penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah anak Kelompok A, PAUD Widya Dharma Bondalem semester II Tahun Ajaran 2012/2013 berjumlah 14 orang. Data penelitian tentang peningkatan kemampuan kognitif anak dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan metode observasi. Data analisis dengan menggunakan metode analisis statistik deskriptif dan kuantitatif. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan kemampuan kognitif pada anak semester II Tahun Ajaran 2012/2013 di PAUD Widya Dharma Bondalem. Hal ini terlihat dari peningkatan kemampuan kognitif pada siklus I adalah 55,56 % menjadi 70,67 % pada siklus II. Jadi terjadi peningkatan sebesar 15,11 %. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode demonstrasi dengan media kartu gambar mampu meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif anak kelompok A PAUD Widya Dharma Bondalem Kecamatan Tejakula, pada Semester II Tahun Ajaran 2012/2013.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the child's increasing cognitive abilities of each child's early childhood Bondalem Widya Dharma. This research is a classroom action research, was held in two cycles. Subject were 14 children of Group PAUD Widya Dharma Bondalem, in second semester of academic year 2012/2013. Research data on the increase in the child's cognitive abilities collected by using observational methods. Data analysis using descriptive statistical methods and quantitative analysis. Results of data analysis showed that an increase in cognitive ability in children second semester school year 2012/2013 in early childhood Bondalem Widya Dharma. It is evident from the increase in cognitive ability in the first cycle is 55.56% to 70.67% in the second cycle. So an increase of 15.11%. Based on the results of the application of the method demonstration to the media card image is able to improve the cognitive abilities of children in group A PAUD Widya Dharma Bondalem, Tejakula Regency, in second semester of academic year 2012/2013.
