PENERAPAN METODE BERMAIN BERBANTUAN MEDIA PUZZLE UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PERKEMBANGAN KOGNITIF

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan perkembangan kognitif anak dalam memecahkan masalah sederhana setelah diterapkan metode bermain berbantuan media puzzle pada anak kelompok B1 semester II Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014 di TK Kemala Bhayangkari 7 Amlapura. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 22 orang anak TK pada Kelompok B1 Semester II Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014. Data penelitian tentang perkembangan kognitif dalam memecahkan masalah sederhana dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dikumpulkan dengan metode observasi dengan instrument berupa lembar format observasi. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode analisis statistik deskriptif dan metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan perkembangan kognitif dalam memecahkan masalah sederhana dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dengan penerapan metode bermain pada siklus I sebesar 68,56% yang berada pada kategori sedang ternyata mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II menjadi 80,25% yang tergolong pada kategori tinggi. Jadi, terdapat peningkatan perkembangan kognitif anak sebesar 11,23% dalam memecahkan suatu masalah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.Kata Kunci : metode bermain, media puzzle, perkembangan kognitif
The purpose of this research was to study the improvement within child's cognitive development increase in solving simple problems after applied the method using a puzzle on media-assisted to the B1 group children during the second semester or the academic year 2013/2014 in Kemala Bhayangkari 7 Amlapura. This type of study is a classroom action-based research which was conducted in two cycles.. The subject of this research was 22 children. The data on the cognitive development in solving simple problems in everyday life were collected by observation method with observation forms as the instrument. The data in this study were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis method and quantitative descriptive analysis method. The result of the data analysis shows that there was 68,56% improvement for the cognitive development in solving simple problems in everyday life with the application of the playing method using a puzzle on media-assisted in the first cycle, which can be categorized as average. An improvement into 80,25% was also found in the second cycle which can be categorized as high. Therefore, there was 16% improvement for the cognitive development in the solving simple problems in everyday life.
