PENERAPAN METODE BERMAIN BERBANTUAN MEDIA KUBUS MULTIGUNA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PERKEMBANGAN KOGNITIF

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan perkembangan kognitif anak dalam pengenalan lambang bilangan setelah diterapkan metode bermain berbantuan media kubus multiguna pada anak kelompok A2 semester II Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014 di TK Laboratorium Undiksha Singaraja. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dan subjek sebanyak 20 orang anak. Data penelitian tentang perkembangan kognitif dalam pengenalan lambang bilangan dikumpulkan dengan metode observasi dengan instrument berupa lembar format observasi. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode analisis statistik deskriptif dan metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan perkembangan kognitif dalam pengenalan lambang bilangan dengan penerapan metode bermain berbantuan media kubus multiguna pada siklus I sebesar 67,50% yang berada pada kategori sedang ternyata mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II menjadi 83,50% yang tergolong pada kategori tinggi. Jadi, terdapat peningkatan perkembangan kognitif dalam pengenalan lambang bilangan pada anak sebesar 16%. Pada peningkatan perkembangan kognitif dalam pengenalan lambang bilangan berbantuan media kubus multiguna.Kata Kunci : metode bermain, media kubus multiguna, perkembangan kognitif
The purpose of this research was to study the improvement within child cognitive development in the introduction of numbers after the application of the playing method using the multi-function cube media to the A2 group children during the second semester or the academic year 2013/2014 in TK Laboratorium Undiksha Singaraja. This type of study is a classroom action-based research which was carried out in two cycles with 20 children as the subjects. The data on the cognitive development in the introduction of numbers were collected by observation method with observation forms as the instrument. The data in this study were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis method and quantitative descriptive analysis method. The result of the data analysis shows that there was 67.50% improvement for the cognitive development in the introduction of numbers with the application of the playing method using multi-function cube media in the first cycle, which can be categorized as average. An improvement into 83.50% was also found in the second cycle which can be categorized as high. Therefore, there was 16% improvement for the cognitive development in the introduction of numbers using the multi-function cube media.
