PENERAPAN METODE BERCERITA DENGAN MEDIA BONEKA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENYIMAK PADA ANAK

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan menyimak pada anak, setelah diterapkan metode bercerita pada anak kelompok B TK Mahawidya Kumara Batuan Kaler Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015. Subjek penelitian ini adalah anak kelompok B TK Mahawidya Kumara yang berjumalah 22 orang. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, terdiri dari 16 pertemuan dalam 1 siklus dan 8 pertemuan pada siklus 2. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini melalui observasi. Observasi merupakan penilaian dengan mengamati secara langsung serta mendokumantasikan hal-hal penting yang terjadi dalam penelitian. Dalam penelitian ini data yang dikumpulkan melalui lembar observasi. Data dianalisis melalui teknik analisis deskeriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan penerapan metode bercerita dengan media boneka tangan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menyimak pada anak kelompok B TK Mahawidya Kumara Batuan Kaler Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015. Kemampuan menyimak anak meningkat secara signifikan, hal ini dapat dilihat dari siklus I sebesar 65,31% menjadi 84,37% pada siklus II yang berada kategori tinggi. Jadi telah terjadi peningkatan kemampuan menyimak pada anak setelah diterapkan metode bercerita dengan media boneka tangan sebesar 19,06%.Kata Kunci : metode bercerita, boneka tangan, kemampuan menyimak, anak usia dini.
This research was aimed to know the improvement of students’ listening skill by implementing storytelling method for B group students in TK Mahawidya Kumara Batuan Kaler on academic year 2014/2015. The subject of this research were of B group’s students in TK Mahawidya Kumara Batuan Kaler on academic year 2014/2015 which were contained 22 students. This research was classroom action research (CAR) which was held in two cycles, 12 meetings in one cycle. Each meeting continuously held from planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. In this research, technique of data collection used observation method. Observation method is assessment that involves the researcher to observe continuously, directly and collect some documentation which is important in learning process. In this research, the data collection was collected by using observation sheet. The data was analyzed by using quantitative descriptive statistical analysis. The result of this research showed that the implementation of storytelling with hand puppet can increase students’ listening skill in TK Mahawidya Kumara Batuan Kaler on academic year 2014/2015. The students’ ability was significant improved, it can be seen in first cycle with percentage about 65.31 and then change into 84.37% in the second cycle. In conclusion, there was an improvement on students’ listening skill by integrating storytelling method with hand puppet which has percentage about 19.6%.
