PENERAPAN METODE PETA PIKIRAN (MIND MAPPING) MELALUI PERMAINAN WARNA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN KOGNITIF ANAK TENTANG SAINS PADA KELOMPOK B DI PAUD ASTHA GHANA KUMARA TAHUN AJARAN 2013/2014

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif anak tentang sains melalui metode peta pikiran (Mind Mapping) dengan permainan warna pada kelompok B di PAUD Astha Ghana Kumara Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah 21 orang, yang terdiri dari 10 murid laki-laki dan 11 murid perempuan. Data penelitian ini tentang kemampuan kognitif anak tentang sains dikumpulkan dengan metode observasi dan wawancara. Instrument lembar observasi dan metode wawancara yang dipergunakan berupa lembar observasi dan lembar percakapan. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode analisis statistik deskriptif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terjadi peningkatan perkembangan kognitif anak tentang sains dengan penerapan metode peta pikiran (Mind Mapping) melalui permainan warna pada siklus I sebesar 46,14% yang berada pada kategori sangat kurang aktif ternyata mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II menjadi 82,33% tergolong pada kategori aktif. Jadi, terjadi peningkatan perkembangan kognitif anak tentang sains melalui permainan warna sebesar 36,19%.Kata Kunci : Kata-kata kunci: Metode Peta Pikiran (Mind Mapping), melalui permainan warna, perkembangan kognitif tentang sains.
This study aims to improve the cognitive abilities of children about science through the mind map method (Mind Mapping) with iridescence in group B in early childhood Ghana Kumara Astha School Year 2013/2014. This research is an action research conducted in two cycles. Subjects were 21 people, consisting of 10 boys and 11 girls. The research data on children's cognitive abilities of science collected by observation and interview methods. Instrument observation sheets and interview methods were used such as observation sheets and sheets of conversation. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistical methods and quantitative analysis. These results indicate that an increase in cognitive development of children about science with the application of mind map method (Mind Mapping) iridescence through the first cycle of 46.14% which is very less active category was experiencing an increase in cycle II to 82.33% belong to the active category. Thus, an increase in cognitive development of children about science through the iridescence of 36.19%.
