Penerapan Metode Demonstrasi Melalui Kegiatan Meronce Untuk Meningkatkan Kognitif Mengenai Pengenalan Bentuk Geometri Pada Anak Kelompok B2 TK Titi Dharma Kecamatan Denpasar Utara Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kognitif setelah diterapkannya Penerapan Metode Demonstrasi Melalui Kegiatan Meronce Untuk Meningkatkan Kognitif Mengenai Pengenalan Bentuk Geometri Pada Anak Kelompok B2 TK Titi Dharma Kecamatan Denpasar Utara Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah 27 orang anak TK pada kelompok B2 semester II tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Data penelitian tentang pengenalan bentuk geometri melalui kegiatan meronce dikumpulkan dengan metode observasi dengan instrument berupa lembar format observasi dan metode wawancara dengan instrument berupa lembar format percakapan. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode analisis statistik deskriptif dan metode analisis statistik kuantitatif. Hasil analisis data menunjukan bahwa terjadi peningkatan dalam pengenalan bentuk geometri pada kegiatan meronce dengan penerapan metode demonstrasi pada siklus I sebesar 44,03% yang berada pada kategori sangat rendah ternyata mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II menjadi 86,07 % tergolong pada kategori tinggi. Jadi, terdapat peningkatan dalam perkembangan kognitif pada pengenalan bentuk geometri melalui kegiatan meronce pada anak kelompok B2 TK Titi Dharma Denpasar Utara, sebesar 42,04%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menerapkan metode demonstrasi melalui kegiatan meronce untuk mengenal bentuk geometri dapat meningkatkan kognitif anak kelompok B2 TK Titi Dharma Kecamatan Denpasar Utara.Kata Kunci : metode demonstrasi, kognitif, bentuk geometri.
The aims of this study is to determine the cognitive improvement after the application of demonstration method through “meronce” to improve the cognitive recognition of geometric shapes in kindergarten kids Titi Dharma group B2 district north of denpasar school year 2013/2014. This research is an action research that conducted in two cycles. Subjects were 27 kindergarten children in group B2 2nd half of the school year 2013/2014. Research data on the introduction of geometric shapes through “meronce” collected by observation with an instrument in the form of sheets of format observation and interviews with the instrument in the form of a conversation format sheet. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and quantitative statistical analysis methods. The result of the data analysis showed that there was an increase in the recognition of geometric shapes on “meronce” activities with the application of demonstration method in 1st cycle was 44,03 % which is at low category was increasing to 86.7% in 2nd cycle and categorized as high level . So,there is an increase in cognitive development in recognition of geometric shapes through "meronce" activities for the kindergarten children of Titi Dharma group B2. The increasement is 42.02%. It can be concluded that by applying the demonstration method through " meronce" activities to recognize geometric shapes can improve chidren's cognitive of Titi Dharma kindergarten group b2 district north of denpasar.
