MODEL DIRECT INSTRUCTION BERBANTUAN MEDIA PUZZLE UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PERKEMBANGAN MENGENAL BENTUK GEOMETRI ANAK KELOMPOK B3 TK KEMALA BHAYANGKARI 1 DENPASAR

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan perkembangan mengenal bentuk geometri setelah menerapkan model direct instruction dengan media puzzle pada anak kelompok B3 semester genap di TK Kemala Bhayangkari 1 Denpasar tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 18 anak kelompok B3 semester genap TK Kemala Bhayangkari 1 Denpasar tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Data penelitian tentang peningkatan perkembangan mengenal bentuk geometri menggunakan model Direct Instruction dikumpulkan melalui metode observasi dengan instrument berupa lembar observasi. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis statistik kuantitatif. Berdasarkan analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan perkembangan mengenal bentuk geometri anak kelompok B3 dengan media puzzle pada siklus I mencapai 58% dan berada pada kategori rendah. Pada siklus II rata-rata perkembangan mengenal bentuk geometri mencapai 80% dan berada pada kategori tinggi. Jadi, terjadi peningkatan perkembangan mengenal bentuk geometri dengan media puzzle dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 22%.Kata Kunci : direct instruction, puzzle, geometri
This study aimed to determine the improvement to knowing shapes of geometry development after applying the model direct instruction with a puzzle media in children group B3 at TK Kemala Bhayangkari 1 Denpasar, at second semester of study year 2014/2015. This study is typically a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is conducted in two cycles, the subject of this study were children in group B3 TK Kemala Bhayangkari 1 Denpasar at second semester of study year 2014/2015 with total 18 number consisting of 9 male children and 9 female children. Research data on the increase to knowing shapes of geometry development using models direct instruction with instrument such as the observation sheet. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistic method and quantitative descriptive statistic method. Based on the analysis of the data showed that an increase to knowing shapes of geometry development of children’s group B3 with puzzle media on the first cycle of 58% in the low category and to knowing shapes of geometry development on the second cycle increase to 80% in the high category. So an increase in to knowing shapes of geometry development with puzzle media at 22%.
