MENINGKATKAN PERKEMBANGAN KOGNITIF DALAM BIDANG SAINS MELALUI AKTIVITAS PERCOBAAN SEDERHANA PADA ANAK KELOMPOK B3 SEMESTER GENAP TK KARTIKA VII-1 KODAM-UDAYANA IX TAHUN AJARAN 2014/2015

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan perkembangan kognitif dalam bidang sains melalui aktivitas percobaan sederhana pada anak kelompok B3 semester genap TK Kartika VII-1 Kodam-Udayana IX Tahun Ajaran 2014/2015 Denpasar Selatan yang berjumlah 30 anak, yang terdiri dari 22 anak perempuan dan 8 anak laki-laki. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus yang setiap siklusnya terdiri dari empat tahapan yaitu: (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan, (3) observasi/evaluasi, dan (4) refleksi. Data yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini adalah data perkembangan kognitif anak dalam bidang sains. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan metode observasi. Data kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif dan metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Berdasarkan analisis data, ditemukan bahwa penerapan aktivitas percobaan sederhana dapat meningkatkan perkembangan kognitif dalam bidang sains anak kelompok B3. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari perolehan nilai rata-rata perkembangan kognitif anak pada siklus I sebesar 73,8% yang berada pada kategori sedang mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II sebesar 81,8% tergolong pada kategori tinggi dan terjadi peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 8%.Kata Kunci : percobaan sederhana, perkembangan kognitif, sains.
This research project aimed to improve cognitive development in science through simple experiment activity on group B children of second semester in TK Kartika VII-1 Kodam-Udayana IX, school year of 2014/2015 at South Denpasar with 30 children, consisted of 22 females and 8 males. The type of this research was Classroom Action Research (CAR) that conducted in two cycles, in which every cycle followed by four steps: (1) Planing, (2) Action, (3) observation/evaluation, (4) reflection. Children’s cognitive development was the data that were collected in this research. The data was collected through observation method. The data was analysed by using descriptive statistics method and quantitative descriptive analysis method. Based on the analysis data, it’s seen that the implementation of simple experiment could improve children’s cognitive development in science at group B TK Kartika VII-1. The improvement can be seen from children’s average value of cognitive development, in which at the first cycle 73,8% is on medium category increase to 81,8% in second cycles which categorised on high category and there is 8% improvement of cognitive development from first cycle to second cycle.
