PENERAPAN METODE BERMAIN MELALUI PERMAINAN ULAR TANGGA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PERKEMBANGAN KOGNITIF PADA ANAK KELOMPOK A

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan perkembangan kognitif dalam mengenal lambang bilangan setelah diterapkan metode bermain melalui permainan ular tangga pada anak Kelompok A Semester II di PAUD Candra Kasih Denpasar Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah anak kelompok A semester II di PAUD Candra Kasih Denpasar Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016, sebanyak 17 anak, yang terdiri dari 10 anak laki-laki dan 7 anak perempuan. Data penelitian tentang perkembangan kognitif dalam mengenal lambang bilangan dikumpulkan dengan metode observasi dengan instrumen berupa lembar observasi. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode analisis statistik deskriptif dan metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Berdasarkan analisis data, diperoleh rata-rata perkembangan kognitif dalam mengenal lambang bilangan pada siklus I mencapai 65,00% dan berada pada kategori sedang. Pada siklus II rata-rata perkembangan kognitif dalam mengenal lambang bilangan mencapai 85,00% dan berada pada kategori tinggi. Terjadi peningkatkan dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 20,00%. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode bermain melalui permainan ular tangga dapat meningkatkan perkembangan kognitif pada anak kelompok A semester II di PAUD Candra Kasih Denpasar Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016.Kata Kunci : metode bermain, permainan ular tangga, perkembangan kognitif
This study aims to improve the cognitive development in recognizing the symbol of numbers after applied the method of playing through snakes and ladders game for Group A children in the second Semester of Candra Kasih Denpasar the Academic Year 2015/2016. The type of this research is the Classroom Action Research (CAR) is conducted in two cycles. The subjects were students in group A of Candra Kasih Denpasar Academic Year 2015/2016, the total of 17 children, consist of 10 boys and 7 girls. The data research on cognitive development in finding symbol of numbers collected by the method of observation with instruments such as observation sheet. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and quantitative descriptive analysis method. Based on the data analysis, obtained an average of cognitive development in recognizing the symbol of numbers in the first cycle reaches 65,00% and the middle category. In the second cycle the average cognitive development in recognizing the symbol numbers reached 85,00% and at the high category. Improvement occurred from the first cycle to the second cycle is 20,00%. So we can conclude that the Use of the method of playing through the snakes and ladders game can improve the cognitive development of the children in Candra Kasih Denpasar Academic Year 2015/2016.
