UPAYA MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP PKn MELALUI PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE STAD PADA SISWA KELAS XI IPS1 SMA NEGERI 1 BUSUNGBIU

Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman konsep PKn siswa kelas XI IPS1 SMA Negeri 1 Busungbiu dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif type STAD dan untuk mengetahui tanggapan atau respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran PKn setelah menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif type STAD. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research), subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPS1 SMA Negeri 1 Busungbiu tahun pelajaran 2016/2017 semester genap yang berjumlah 26 orang terdiri dari 16 orang sisiwa laki-laki dan 10 orang siswa perempuan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus pembelajaran, dengan tahapan-tahapan dalam tiap siklus adalah perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi/monitoring, dan evaluasi/refleksi. Data dianalisis secara deskriftif. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif type STAD dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep PKn siswa kelas XI IPS1 SMA Negeri 1Busungbiu Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017dan tanggapan atau respon siswa terhadap model pembelajaran kooperatif type STAD yang diterapkan dalam pembelajaran sangat positif.

Abstract
This study was aimed at improving the understanding of the Civics concept of students grade XI IPS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Busungbiu by applying cooperative learning model type STAD (Student Teams Achievement Divisions) and knowing students’ response toward learning Civics after applying cooperative learning model type STAD. To achieve these objectives, this research used classroom action research method. The subjects of this study were the students grade XI IPS1 SMA Negeri 1 Busungbiu academic year 2016/2017 in even semester. There were 26 students who involved in this study, which consisted of 16 boys and 10 girls students. This study was conducted in two learning cycles, the stages in each cycle were planning, action, observation, and evaluation/reflection. The collected data were analyzed descriptively The result of the analysis showed that cooperative learning model type STAD could improve students' understanding of Civic concept of students grade XI IPS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Busungbiu academic year 2016/2017 and students’response toward the implementation of cooperative learning model type STAD were positive.
