PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN GROUP INVESTIGATION TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KONSEP IPA SISWA SD

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan yang signifikan pemahaman konsep IPA siswa antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran group investigation dengan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah Non Equivalent Post Test Only Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V di Gugus VI Kecamatan Sukasada, Kabupaten Buleleng. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas V SD No. 2 Panji Anom yang berjumlah 27 orang dan siswa kelas V SD No. 4 Panji Anom yang berjumlah 22 orang. Data pemahaman konsep IPA siswa dikumpulkan melalui instrumen tes pemahaman konsep berupa tes esai yang berjumlah 10 butir soal. Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial (uji-t). Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh thitung=3,11 dan ttabel=2,06. Hal ini berarti bahwa thitung>ttabel,dan rata-rata kelompok eksperimen adalah 30,68 dan kelompok kontrol adalah 27,74. Hal ini berarti rata-rata kelompok eksperimen> rata-rata kelompok kontrol. Ini berarti model pembelajaran group investigation berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep IPA siswa di Gugus VI Kecamatan Sukasada, Kabupaten Buleleng Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014.Kata Kunci : group investigation, pemahaman konsep IPA
This research was a kind of quasi esperiment which aimed to know the significant difference of Natural Science Concept Understanding ini Grade V in Elementary schools Gugus VI of subdistrict Sukasada, Buleleng between a group of student which is taught by traditional menthod. The design of the study is Non Equivalent Post Test Only Control Group Design. . The population of this research was all students in grade five of gugus VI subdistrict Sukasada. The sample in this study the students of grade V in SD No. 2 Panji Anom, 27 students and students of SD No. 4 Panji Anom, 22 students. The data collected by concept test instrument, which is answered in essay in numbers of ten. The data collected after the test analyzed by descriptive statistics analysis and inferential statistics (t-test). Based on the result of the analysis, taccount=3,11 and ttable=2,06. The result showed that taccount>ttable, the average of experimental group is 30,68 and the controlled group is 287,74. The meaning of this data is experimental > control. The conclusion is the implementation of group investigation teaching menthod affect the concept understanding of natural science in students in elementary schools gugus VI subdistrict Sukasada, Buleleng academic year 2013/2014.
