JEU employs a single-blind peer-review system, where the identities of the reviewers remain anonymous to the authors, but the authors' identities are disclosed to the reviewers. This system ensures an objective and fair evaluation while maintaining high academic standards.
Each submission is assessed for originality, relevance, methodology, and contribution to the field before a final publication decision is made.
Submission and Initial Evaluation
Upon submission, every manuscript undergoes an initial evaluation by the editorial team. This evaluation assesses: Relevance to the journal’s scope, Compliance with submission guidelines, Overall manuscript quality. Manuscripts that meet the journal’s requirements are assigned a unique identification number and moved forward in the peer-review process. Those that do not align with the journal’s scope or standards may be rejected at this stage without further review.
Peer Review
JEU operates a single-blind review policy, where the reviewer's identity is kept confidential from the author. Manuscripts must adhere to academic integrity standards and be free from fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, or improper data manipulation.
Each submission is sent to at least two anonymous reviewers with expertise in the relevant field for evaluation based on scientific contribution, originality, relevance, and clarity of presentation.
To expedite the review process, the editorial team may conduct an initial assessment and make a decision without sending the manuscript for external review if it does not meet the journal’s fundamental publication criteria. Authors will be informed of the review results within approximately eight weeks.
The editorial decision is final, and no further correspondence will be entertained for manuscripts deemed unsuitable for publication. All communication, including the editor’s decision and revision requests, will be sent via email.
