Abstract

This study was aimed to determine the effectiveness of behavioral counseling by using assertiveness training technique to minimize self-aggression of the students. This study was a quasi experimental research in which the research design used was Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttes Control Group Design. The population of this research was all grade XI students of SMA Laboratorium Undiksha Singaraja. The sample of this research was determined by using purposive sampling technique which was  determined by the researcher for certain special characters. A sample of 11 students with high self-agression was taken from the study population. Furthermore, it was divided into 2 by way of drawing, in which 5 students as the experimental group and 6 students as the control group. The main data collection method used was the self-agression questionnaire. From the results of the research and data analysis used the t-test with a significance level of 0.05, it was found that behavioral counseling with assertivenes training technique was effective to minimize self-aggression of the students, (t = 4, 129 with the significance value of p0,003).
