PENERAPAN KONSELING BEHAVIORAL DENGAN TEKNIK DESENSITISASI SISTEMATIS UNTUK MEREDUKSI KECEMASAN BERKOMUNIKASI DALAM MENGIKUTI PROSES PEMBELAJARAN PADA SISWA KELAS VII C SMP NEGERI 3 SINGARAJA TAHUN PELAJARAN 2013/2014

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan konseling behavioral dengan teknik desensitisasi sistematis untuk mereduksi kecemasan berkomunikasi siswa kelas VII C SMP Negeri 3 Singaraja tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Bimbingan Konseling. Prosedur penelitian dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari tahap identifikasi, diagnosis, prognosis ,konseling/treatment, evaluasi/follow up, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 10 orang siswa kelas VII C SMP Negeri 3 Singaraja. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kuesioner, observasi dan wawancara. Data yang diperoleh dari responden diolah dengan analisis deskriptif, dengan target keberhasilan pencapaian minimal 65% Hasil penelitian dari pra siklus diperoleh rata-rata pencapaian persentase skor kecemasan berkomunikasi dalam proses pembelajaran terhadap 10 orang siswa sebesar 63,07 % dengan kategori tinggi. Siklus I diperoleh peningkatan 7 orang siswa yang mencapai kriteria diatas 65% dengan rata-rata peningkatan 4,65%, sedangkan 3 orang siswa masih dibawah kriteria 65%. Siklus II 3 orang siswa yang belum mencapai kriteria 65% pada siklus I, mengalami peningkatan diatas 65% dengan rata-rata peningkatan 14,4% pada siklus II. Artinya siswa sudah bisa mereduksi kecemasan berkomunikasi yang ada dalam dirinya. Data tersebut diperkuat dari lembar pemantauan setiap siklusnya.Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan siswa dapat mengaplikasikan teknik desensitisasi sistematis dalam kehidupan sehari-hari sehingga dapat mengatasi kecemasan yang dialami dari tingkat kecemasan yang rendah sampai yang tinggi.Kata Kunci : konseling behavioral, desensitisasi sistematis, kecemasan berkomunikasi
This study aims to determine the application of behavioral counseling with systematic desensitization techniques to reduce anxiety communicating class VII C 3 Singaraja SMP academic year 2013/2014. This type of research is action research Counseling. Research procedures conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of the identification, diagnosis, prognosis, counseling / treatment, evaluation / follow-up, and reflection. The subjects were 10 students of class VII C SMP Negeri 3 Singaraja. Data collection methods used were questionnaires, observations and interviews. Data obtained from respondents processed with analyzed descriptively in which the success indicator was 65%. The result of pre-cycle obtained the average score of anxiousness in the process of learning through 10 students was 63,07 % which categorized as high. On cycle I, 7 students reached score above 65% in which the average improvement was 4.65%, meanwhile 3 students were still below 65%. There were 3 students on cycle II who did not achieve the criteria of 65%. The students’ improvement was above 65% with the average improvement 14,4% on cycle II. It meant that the students could reduce their anxiety in communication. The data were optimized by the observation list in every cycle. From the result of this study, it is recommended for the students to apply Systematic Desensitization technique since this technique could reduce anxiety from low level of anxiousness until high level.
