PERSEPSI TERHADAP PERAN GENDER CALON KONSELOR DALAM LAYANAN KONSELING INDIVIDUAL PADA SISWA SMA/SMK DI KOTA SINGARAJA TAHUN PELAJARAN 2013/2014

Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian “Ex Post Facto”. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kecenderungan persepsi siswa terhadap peran gender calon konselor dan juga mengetahui perbedaan persepsi siswa terhadap peran gender calon konselor dalam pelaksanaan layanan konseling individual pada siswa SMA/SMK di Kota Singaraja. Calon konselor yang dimaksud dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa bimbingan konseling yang sedang melaksanakan praktik internship. Subyek penelitian dalam penelitian ini disebut dengan studi populasi atau studi sensus sehingga ditentukan siswa-siswa yang sudah mengikuti konseling individual. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner yang didukung dengan observasi dan wawancara. Pengumpulan data penelitian dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada siswa SMA/SMK yang pernah mengikuti layanan konseling individual dengan calon konselor laki-laki dan perempuan. Hasil analisis uji hipotesis diperoleh bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan persepsi siswa terhadap peran gender calon konselor. Hasil ini sesuai dengan perhitungan dan analisis data yang mana didapatkan output sebesar 0,312 dengan df = 60 dan taraf signifikan 5%, maka untuk ttabel = 1,671 didapat dari df dengan Karena t hitung lebih kecil dari t tabel maka H0 diterima yang berbunyi “Tidak terdapat perbedaaan persepsi siswa terhadap peran gender calon konselor dalam pelaksanaan layanan konseling individual pada siswa SMA/SMK di Kota Singaraja Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014”.Kata Kunci : persepsi, peran gender, konseling individual
This research was an Ex Post Facto. This research aimed at knowing the tendency of students’ perception to the role of gender on counselor candidate and knowing the differences of students’ perception to the role of gender counselor candidate in the implementation of individual counseling service of students of SMA/SMK in Singaraja. Counselor candidate in this study was the student of counseling who was doing internship practice. The subjects of this study were the population study or census study therefore it was chosen the students who already followed individual counseling. The data collecting methods were questionnaire which optimized by the observation and interview. The data collection was done by giving questionnaire to the students of SMA/SMK who already followed individual counseling of male and female counselor. The result of hypothesis test analysis was obtained that there was no differences of students’ perception to the role of gender of counselor candidate. This result was also based on the calculation and data analysis which was obtained from the output 0,312, df = 60 and significance degree 5%, therefore for ttable was 1,671 obtained from df because t count lower than t table moreover H0 was accepted “there was no differences of students’ perception to the role of gender of counselor candidate in the implementation of individual counseling service on students of SMA/SMK Singaraja in academic year 2013/2014”.
