EFEKTIFITAS KONSELING RATIONAL EMOTIVE BEHAVIOR DENGAN TEKNIK ROLE PLAYING DALAM RANGKA MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR PADA SISWA KELAS X SMA NEGERI 4 SINGARAJA TAHUN PELAJARAN 2013/2014

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas konseling rational emotif behavior dengan teknik role playing dalam rangka meningkatkan motivasi belajar pada siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Tipe penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimental dengan rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pretest-posttest-control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja pada tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Untuk pengambilan sampel, teknik yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Jenis data yang dikumpulkan adalah kuantitatif yaitu data tentang peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa yang diakibatkan pemikiran irasional. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen kuisioner motivasi belajar pola Likert, baik pada tes awal (pretest) dan tes akhir (posttest). Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis statistik uncorrelated data/independent sampel t-test. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan gain score normality, didapat bahwa kelompok eksperimen yaitu konseling rational emotif behavior dengan teknik role playing memiliki rata-rata nilai gain score normality lebih tinggi dari rata-rata nilai gain score normality kelompok control yang hanya diberikan perlakuan konvensional (31,47>25,68). Maka dapat dikatakan bahwa konseling rational emotive behavior teknik role playing lebih efektif dibandingkan perlakuan konvensional untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Berdasarkan nilai t pada tabel di atas didapatkan thitung sebesar 5,67 dengan df = 18, maka pada taraf signifikansi 5% didapatkan ttabel sebesar 2,101. Karena thitung >< ttabel pada taraf signifikan 5% berarti Ho ditolak maka Ha diterima, sehingga hipotesisnya berbunyi “Adanya perbedaan keefektifan perlakuan konseling rational emotive behavior dengan teknik role playing yang diberikan pada kelompok eksperimen dengan keefektifan perlakuan konvensional yang diberikan pada kelompok kontrol dalam rangka meningkatkan motivasi belajar pada siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja.Kata Kunci : Tehnik Role Playing, Motivasi belajar.
This research aims to know the effectiveness of rational emotive behavior counseling role playing techniques to increasing study motivation in class X SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja academic year 2013/2014. Types of this research is a true experiment with design of the study is a pretest-posttest-control group design. The population in this research were students of class X SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja in the academic year 2013/2014. For sampling, the technique used is purposive sampling. The type of data that is collected is quantitative data on the increase study motivation. he data was collected using a questionnaire instrument study motivation Likert patterns, both at the beginning of the test (pretest) and final test (posttest). Data were analyzed by using statistical analysis of the data uncorrelated / independent sample t-test. Based on the results of the calculation of the gain scores normality, which found that the experimental group role playing techniques rational emotive behavior counseling had an average score of normality gain value is higher than the average score of normality value gain control group were only given conventional treatment (31,47> 25.68 ). Can be said that rational emotive behavior counseling role playing techniques are more effective than conventional treatments to increasestudy motivation. Based on the value of t in the above table is obtained tarithmetic of 5,67 with df = 18, then the 5% significance level obtained ttable 2,101. Because of tarithmetic than ttable at the significant level of 5% means that Ho is rejected, Ha accepted, so the hypothesis reads "The big difference in the effectiveness of treatment of rational emotive behavior counseling role playing techniques are given in the experimental group with the effectiveness of conventional treatment given to the control group to increase study motivation in class X SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja”.
