PENERAPAN KONSELING BEHAVIORAL DENGAN TEKNIK SELF MANAGEMENT UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA KELA VIII B4 SMP NEGERI 4 SINGARAJA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa kelas VIII B4 SMP Negeri 4 Singaraja. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian tindakan bimbingan dan konseling (Action Research in Counselling). Subjek penelitian ini adalah 8 orang siswa kelas VIII B4 SMP Negeri 4 Singaraja tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 yang memiliki motivasi belajar dengan kategori rendah. Data motivasi belajar siswa dikumpulkan dengan metode kuesioner sebagai data utama, kemudian metode buku harian dan observasi sebagai pendukung. Dalam satu siklus dilaksanakan 4 bidang bimbingan yaitu klasikal, bimbingan kelompok, konseling Kelompok dan konseling individu. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa motivasi belajar siswa yang rendah dapat ditingkatkan setelah diberikan layanan konseling behavioral dengan teknik Self Management. Peningkatan jerjadi pada siklus I dan II. Persentase awal motivasi belajar sebelum tindakan yaitu 57,33% termasuk kategori rendah, pada siklus I presentase motivasi belajar siswa 71,25% terjadi peningkatan 13,92% dengan hasil 5 orang siswa terkategori tinggi dan 3 orang siswa dikategorikan sedang sehingga perlu dilanjutkan treatment pada siklus II. Pada silus II Presentase motivasi belajar siswa 83,42%, terjadi peningkatan 12,17% dengan kategori tinggi.Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan konseling behavioral dengan teknik Self Management dapat dilaksanakan dengan efektif untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswaKata Kunci : kata kunci : teknik self management, konseling behavioral, motivasi belajar
This study aims to improve learning motivation of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 4 B4 Singaraja. These studies including action research guidance and counseling (Action Research in Counselling). The subjects of this research is the 8 grade VIII SMP Negeri 4 B4 Singaraja year 2013/2014 lessons that has studied motivasion by category low. Data collected by questionnaire mrthod as the primary data, then the diary method and observation as a supporter. In One cycle Implementated 4 field guidance i.e classical, group guidance , group counseling and counselingindividuals. Based on the results of the study revealed that low student learning motivation can be improved after being given counseling behavioral services with Self Management techniques. Improvement occurs in cycles I and II. The percentage of initial motivation of study before action is 57.33% are included in the low. On cycle I percentage of student learning motivation 71,25% an increase in 13,92%.with the 5 students categorized result high and 3 students are categorized so that student need continued treatment in cycle II. 0n cycle II percentage of student learning motivation 83,42%, an increase in 12,17% with high category. Thus it can be concluded that the application of behavioral counseling with the Self Management techniques can be implemented effectively to improve student motivation
