PENERAPAN KONSELING REALITAS DENGAN TEKNIK KONFRONTASI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KONSEP DIRI AKADEMIK SISWA PADA SISWA KELAS VIII B1 DI SMP NEGERI 4 SINGARAJA

Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Bimbingan Konseling yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah konseling Realitas dengan teknik Konfrontasi dapat meningkatkan konsep diri akademik siswa pada siswa kelas VIII B1 di SMP Negri 4 Singaraja. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 6 orang siswa yang memiliki konsep diri akademik negatif. Tindakan dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, dan setiap siklus terdiri dari tahap identifikasi, diagnosa, prognosa, konseling, evaluasi dan tahap refleksi. Treatment diberikan sebanyak 4 kali yaitu dengan format informasi klasikal, bimbingan kelompok, konseling kelompok, serta konseling individu dengan konseling Realitas teknik Konfrontasi pada siklus I dan siklus II. Data tentang konsep diri akademik dikumpulkan dengan kuisioner dengan teknik analisis deskriptif menggunakan rumus penghitungan persentase sederhana yaitu membagi skor mentah dengan skor ideal kemudian dikalikan dengan seratus persen. Persentase peningkatan pada siklus I antara 2,29% sampai dengan 54,88%. Sedangkan pada siklus II antara 5,53% sampai dengan 44,36%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan konseling Realitas dengan teknik Konfrontasi dapat meningkatkan konsep diri akademik siswa pada siswa kelas VIII B1 di SMP Negri 4 Singaraja.Kata Kunci : Konseling Realitas, Konfrontasi, Konsep Diri Akademik
This study is an action research guidance counseling which aims to determine whether counseling Reality Confrontation techniques can improve students' academic self-concept on eighth grade students in junior Negri B1 4 Singaraja. The subjects were 6 students who have a negative academic self-concept. Actions carried out in two cycles, and each cycle consisted of the identification stage, diagnosis, prognosis, counseling, evaluation and reflection phase. Treatment was given for 4 times the classical information format, group counseling, group counseling, and individual counseling with counseling techniques Reality Confrontation in the first cycle and second cycle. Data on academic self-concept were collected by questionnaire with a descriptive analysis techniques using simple percentage calculation formula that is dividing the raw score by the ideal score is then multiplied by one hundred percent. The percentage increase in the first cycle between 2.29% to 54.88%. While on the second cycle between 5.53% to 44.36%. The results showed that the application of counseling techniques confrontation with reality can improve students' academic self-concept in the eighth grade students in junior Negri B1 4 Singaraja.
