Unilateral termination of employment experienced by employees expectedly requires time and process to ride from adversity. The employees who get laid off usually have a hard time with the decision given to them. In this study, the researcher took one man and one woman employee who got laid off because of covid-19. This study uses qualitative research methods with a phenomenological approach. The outcome of this study shows that the participants successfully answered the main theme of this study, which is known from their success by applying all aspects of resilience in themselves and also because of the religious factors that motivate them.
