PENERAPAN KONSELING RASIONAL EMOTIF DENGAN TEKNIK THOUGHT STOPPING UNTUK MEMINIMALISIR KECEMASAN DALAM MENGHADAPI EVALUASI AKADEMIK SISWA DI KELAS X 7 SMA NEGERI 1 SAWAN TAHUN PELAJARAN 2014/2015

untuk mengetahui penerapan konseling rasional emotif dengan teknik thought stopping untuk meminimalisir kecemasan dalam menghadapi evaluasi akademik siswa kelas X 7 SMA Negeri 1 Sawan tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kuesioner, sedangkan observasi sebagai metode pendukung. Data awal menunjukkan ada 7 orang siswa mengalami kecemasan dalam menghadapi evaluasi akademik, dengan rata-rata sebesar 86,00%. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus. Pada siklus I terjadi penurunan skor sebesar 69,50% dengan rata-rata sebesar 16,29% dengan hasil 4 orang siswa yang dikategorikan rendah dan 3 orang siswa yang belum mencapai kriteria di bawah 65% pada siklus I. Pada siklus II, 3 orang siswa yang belum mencapai kriteria di bawah 65% pada siklus I, mengalami penurunan kecemasan dengan hasil 59,00% dengan rata-rata penurunan sebesar 10,50% di siklus II. Artinya siswa sudah bisa menurunkan kecemasan dalam menghadapi evaluasi akademik. Data tersebut diperkuat dari hasil pengamatan perubahan pola pikir dan perilaku siswa yang dilakukan oelh peneliti pada setiap siklusnya. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan konseling rasional emotif dengan teknik thought stopping untuk meminimalisir kecemasan dalam menghadapi evaluasi akademik siswa kelas X 7 di SMA Negeri 1 Sawan tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 efektif.Kata Kunci : konseling rasional emotif, teknik thought stopping, kecemasan dalam menghadapi evaluasi akademik
This research is an action research in counseling aimed at knowing the application of rational emotive with counseling techniques thought stopping to minimize the anxiety in the face of academic evaluation grade X 7 SMA Negeri 1 Sawan year 2014/2015 lessons. Method of data collection used was a questionnaire as a method of observation, while supporters. Preliminary data indicate there were 7 students experiencing anxiety in the face of academic evaluation, with an average of 86,00%. This research is carried out in 2 cycles. On cycle I happen to decrease score of 69.50% with an average of 16,29% with the results of the four students who were categorized and 3 students who have not yet reached the criteria under 65% in cycle i. cycle II, 3 students who have not yet reached the criteria under 65% in cycle I, decreased anxiety with results of 59.00% with an average decrease of 10% in cycle II. This means that students are able to lower the anxiety in the face of academic evaluation. The data reinforced the observations of changes in mindset and behaviour of students conducted by researchers at each cycle. Thus it can be concluded that the application of counseling techniques with rational emotive thought stopping to minimize the anxiety in the face of academic evaluation grade X 7 SMA Negeri 1 Sawan year 2014/2015 effective lessons.
