PENERAPAN LAYANAN INFORMASI BERBASIS TEORI TRAIT AND FACTOR UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN DIRI DALAM PILIHAN KARIR SISWA KELAS XI IPA 1 SMA N 1 SERIRIT TAHUN AJARAN 2014/2015

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan bimbingan dan konseling (Action Reseach In Counseling). Tujuan dari penelitian tindakan ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman diri dalam pilihan karir siswa setelah diberikan layanan informasi berbasis teori Trait and Factor.Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelaskelas XI IPA 1 SMA N 1 Seririt yang berjumlah 40 orang siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus, mulai dari perencanaan, tindakan, observasi/evaluasi dan refleksi. Data pemahaman diri dalam pilihan karir siswa diukur dengan menggunakan kuesioner dan metode obsevasi.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa layanan informasi berbasis teori Trait and Factor efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman diri dalam pilihan karir siswa. Efektivitas itu terlihat dari rata-rata persentase peningkatan sebelum tindakan sebesar 66,52% menjadi 71,42% pada siklus I dan tindakan layanan informasi pada Siklus II persentase peningkatannya mencapai 81,85%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pemahaman diri dalam pilihan karir 4,9% dari kondisi awal ke siklus I, dan 10,43% dari siklus I ke Siklus IIKata Kunci : layanan inforrmasi, trait and factor, pemahaman diri dalam pilihan karir
This study dealt with an action research in guidance and counseling. The objective of the study was to find out the increase in the understanding of students' career choices after they were given an information service based on Trait and Factor theory. The subjects of the study were the eleventh grade students at XI IPA 1 class of SMA N 1 Seririt in which the numbers of the subject were 40 students. The study was conducted in two-planned cycles in which each cycle had four activities; planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data of the understanding of students' career choices were measured by using questionnaire and observation method.The result of the study clearly showed that an information service based on Trait and Factor theory was effective to improve the understanding of students' career choices. The effectiveness was seen from the average percentage in which there was an increase before doing action of 66.52% to 71.42% in cycle I and doing action on the information service in cycle II showed that the improvement of the percentage was 81.85%. This showed that there was an increased understanding in the career choices of 4.9% from the initial conditions to cycle I and 10.43% from cycle I to cycle II
