PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN MAKE A MATCH BERBANTUAN MEDIA DADU HURUF UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENGENAL LAMBANG HURUF

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan mengenal lambang huruf pada anak kelompok A3 semester genap Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014 di TK Saiwa Dharma Singaraja setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran Make A Match berbantuan media dadu huruf. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah 14 orang anak TK Saiwa Dharma Singaraja pada kelompok A3 semester genap Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014. Data penelitian tentang kemampuan mengenal lambang huruf dikumpulkan menggunakan metode observasi dengan instrumen berupa lembar format observasi. Data yang telah dikumpulkan dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode analisis statistik deskriptif dan metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan rata-rata skor kemampuan mengenal lambang huruf pada anak kelompok A3 setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran Make A Match berbantuan media dadu huruf pada siklus I sebesar 71,4% yang berada pada katagori sedang dan pada siklus II menjadi 83,2 tergolong pada katagori tinggi. Jadi terjadi peningkatan kemampuan mengenal lambang huruf anak setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran Make A Match berbantuan media dadu huruf sebesar 11,8%.Kata Kunci : Model Pembelajaran Make A Match, Media Dadu Huruf, Kemampuan Mengenal Lambang Huruf
This research is aimed to know the development of students’ ability to recognize the symbol of letters of class A3 in the Second Semester in the Academic Year 2013/2014 in Saiwa Dharma Kindergarten by applying Make a Match learning method using the media dice letters. This research was a classroom action research which was conducted in two cycles. The subjects of the study are 14 kindergarten students in class A3 in the second semester in the academic year of 2013/2014. The data was collected by using observation method. The instrument used was in form of observation form. The data collected were analyzed by using descriptive statistical analysis and quantitative descriptive. Results of the data analysis showed that the average score of ability to recognize the symbol of letters of class A3 increased after implemented Make A Match learning method with assist the dice letters from 71,4% in the first cycle in which it is categorized as moderate category into 83,2% in the second cycle in which it is categoried as high category. In conclusion, there is an increase of ability to recognize the symbol of letters of class A3 after implemented Make a Match learning method aided by the dice letters numbers that is 11,8%. It is categorized as relatively high category.
