PENGARUH STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN CONCEPT MAPPING BERBANTUAN MEDIA GAMBAR UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR IPS SISWA SD

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar IPS antara siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran yang menggunakan strategi pembelajaran Concept Mapping berbantuan media gambar dengan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran model pembelajaran konvensional siswa kelas V SD di Gugus I Kecamatan Busungbiu Kabupaten Buleleng tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain non-equivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD di Gugus I Kecamatan Busungbiu Kabupaten Buleleng tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD N 3 Busungbiu yang berjumlah 20 orang sebagai kelas Eksperimen dan siswa kelas V SD N 5 Busungbiu yang berjumlah 20 orang sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data hasil belajar adalah tes hasil belajar dengan teknis tes pilihan ganda. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah nilai rata-rata kelompok eksperimen sebesar 22,425 dan nilai rata-rata kelompok kontrol sebesar 18,70. Hasil pengujian data post-test diperoleh data dari kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Analisis data yang digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis adalah uji-t. Kriteria pengujian jika thitung > ttabel maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, dengan dk = n1+n2-2 dan α =5%. Hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh thitung sebesar 7,62 dan ttabel sebesar 2,021 maka thitung > ttabel sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan strategi pembelajaran Concept Mapping berbantuan media gambar terhadap hasil belajar IPS pada siswa kelas V SD di Gugus I Kecamatan Busungbiu Kabupaten Buleleng tahun pelajaran 2016/2017.

The aim of this research is to know the difference result of learning IPS between students who follow learning process by using learning strategy Concept Mapping assisted by image as the media and those who follow the conventional learning from the fifth grade students of elementary school in Gugus I of Busungbiu District, Buleleng Regency (2016/2017). This research is kind of quasi-experimental research with non-equivalent control group design. The population that was being used in this research came from the fifth grade students of elementary school in Gugus I of Busungbiu District, Buleleng Regency (2016/2017). The sample that was being taken came from 20 students of fifth grade in SD N 3 Busungbiu as experimental class, and 20 students of fifth grade in SD N 5 Busungbiu as control class. The instrument that was used in gathering the data was the result of learning test with multiple choice technique. The obtained data was 22,425 from the average score of experimental group, and 18,70 from the averange score of control class. The obtained result of post-test data from experimental group, and control group of normal distribution and homogeneous distribution. The data analysis used to test the hypothesis is uji-t. The testing criteria was if thitung > ttable then H0 rejected and H1 accepted, with the dk = n1+n2-2 and α =5%. The hypothesis result was 7,62 of thitung and 2,021 of ttabel that was why H0 rejected and H1 accepted because thitung > ttable. According to that research, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of Concept Mapping learning strategy assisted by image as the media to the IPS learning result of the fifth grade students of elementary school in Gugus I of Busungbiu District, Buleleng Regency (2016/2017).
