PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE NUMBERED HEAD TOGETHER DENGAN TEKNIK PROBING - PROMPTING TERHADAP KOMPETENSI PENGETAHUAN IPA SISWA KELAS V SD GUGUS KOMPYANG SUJANA DENPASAR UTARA

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan yang signifikan kompetensi pengetahuan IPA antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT dengan teknik Probing-Prompting dan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan melalui pembelajaran konvensional pada siswa kelas V SD Gugus Kompyang Sujana Denpasar Utara. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu dengan rancangan Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V SD Negeri di Gugus Kompyang Sujana Denpasar Utara yang terdiri dari 7 sekolah dasar dan 8 kelas. Pemilihan sampel ditentukan dengan teknik random sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri 2 Peguyangan sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan siswa kelas V SD Negeri 4 Peguyangan sebagai kelompok kontrol dengan jumlah masing-masing kelompok sebanyak 40 orang siswa pada kelompok eksperimen dan sebanyak 43 orang siswa pada kelompok kontrol. Data kompetensi pengetahuan IPA dikumpulkan dengan instrumen berupa tes pilihan ganda biasa yang terdiri dari 30 butir soal yang telah di validasi. Data dianalisis dengan uji beda mean (uji-t). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan kompetensi pengetahuan IPA antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT dengan teknik Probing-Prompting dan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan melalui pembelajaran konvensional. Nilai rata-rata kompetensi pengetahuan IPA yang diperoleh kelompok eksperimen adalah 83,80 sedangkan kelompok kontrol adalah 73,08. Hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh nilai thitung = 4,357, sedangkan dengan taraf signifikansi 5% dan dk = 40 + 43 - 2 = 81 diperoleh harga ttabel = 2,000, jadi thitung = 4,357 > ttabel (α=0,05, 81) = 2,000 sehingga Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT dengan teknik Probing-Prompting berpengaruh terhadap kompetensi pengetahuan IPA siswa kelas V SD Gugus Kompyang Sujana Denpasar Utara.Kata Kunci : Kata kunci : kooperatif tipe NHT, teknik probing-prompting, kompetensi pengetahuan IPA.
ABSTRACT This study aimed to determine the significant differences of science knowledge competence between groups of students who are taught through cooperative learning model type NHT with Probing-Prompting techniques and groups of students who are taught through conventional learning in grade V SD Gugus Kompyang Sujana North Denpasar. This research type is quasi experiment research with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population of this research is all students of grade V of SD Negeri in Gugus Kompyang Sujana North Denpasar cluster consisting of 7 elementary and 8 class schools. The sample selection was determined by random sampling technique. The sample in this research is class V student of SD Negeri 2 Peguyangan as experiment group and class V student of SD Negeri 4 Peguyangan as control group with total of each group as many as 40 students in experiment group and 43 students in control group. The knowledge of science knowledge competence data is collected by instrument in the form of standard multiple choice test consisting of 30 items that have been validated. Data were analyzed by mean difference test (t-test). The results showed that there was a significant difference of science knowledge competence between groups of students who were taught through cooperative learning model of NHT type with Probing-Prompting technique and group of students that was learned through conventional learning. The average value of science knowledge competence obtained by the experimental group is 83.80 while the control group is 73.08. Hypothesis test results obtained tcount = 4.357 and with 5% of significance level and dk = 40 + 43 - 2 = 81, it was found that ttable = 2,000 so tcount = 4.357 > ttable (α=0,05, 81) = 2,000 so Ho is rejected and Ha accepted. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that cooperative learning model of NHT type with Probing-Prompting technique have an effect on knowledge competence of science student of grade V SD Gugus Kompyang Sujana Denpasar Utara.
