Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe TGT Berbantuan Media Questions Box Berpengaruh terhadap Kompetensi Pengetahuan IPA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe teams games tournament berbantuan media questions box terhadap kompetensi pengetahuan IPA siswa kelas V SD Gugus Mayor Metra Denpasar Utara tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu dengan desain penelitian menggunakan “kelompok non-ekuivalen”. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V SD Gugus Mayor Metra Denpasar Utara dengan jumlah populasi 489 siswa. Sampel diambil dengan teknik random sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas VB SD Negeri 18 Pemecutan sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan siswa kelas VB SD Negeri 29 Pemecutan sebagai kelompok kontrol dengan jumlah masing-masing kelompok sebanyak 43 siswa pada kelompok ekperimen dan 42 siswa pada kelompok kontrol. Data tentang kompetensi pengetahuan IPA di kelompok eksperimen maupun di kelompok kontrol dikumpulkan dengan instrumen berupa tes objektif pilihan ganda biasa. Selanjutnya data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan analisis uji-t dapat diketahui terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan kompetensi pengetahuan IPA kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe teams games tournament berbantuan media questions box dan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan tidak menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe teams games tournament berbantuan media questions box (thitung = 7,09 > ttabel = 2,000) dengan dk = 83 dan taraf signifikansi 5%. Demikian pula nilai rata-rata kompetensi pengetahuan IPA kelompok eksperimen lebih dari rata-rata kompetensi pengetahuan IPA siswa kelompok kontrol ( = 78,81 > = 63,06). Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe teams games tournament berbantuan media questions box berpengaruh terhadap kompetensi pengetahuan IPA siswa kelas V SD Gugus Mayor Metra Denpasar Utara Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017.Kata Kunci : model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT, media questions box, kompetensi pengetahuan IPA
This study is aimed at investigating the effect of cooperative learning model type teams games tournament assisted by questions box media toward the students’ knowledge competence of Natural Science in class V SD Gugus Mayor Metra Denpasar Utara in academic year 2016/2017. The design of this current quasi experimental research was “non-equivalent group”. The population of this research was all of the fifth grade students in SD Gugus Mayor Metra Denpasar Utara which consisted of 489 students. The samples were chosen by using random sampling technique. The sample of this research were the students in class VB SD Negeri 18 Pemecutan as the experimental group and the students in class VB SD Negeri 29 Pemecutan as the control group, in which the number of the students was 43 students on the experimental group and 42 students on the control group.The data of the students’ knowledge competence of Natural Science were obtained by using objective test in form of multiple choices. The data was analyzed by t-test. The results show that there is significant difference of the students’ knowledge competence of Natural Science between the students who learnt through cooperative learning model type teams games tournament assisted by questions box media and the students who were not. It is based on the analysis results in which tobserved was 7,09 and tcritical_value was 2,00 (tobserved>tcritical_value) with df = 83 and significance level at 5%. So does the students’average score of knowledge competence ofNatural Science in experimental group was higher than the students’ average score in control group ( = 78,81 > = 63,06). This study concludes that cooperative learning model type teams games tournament assisted by questions box media has a significant effect toward the fifth grade students’ knowledge competence of Natural Science in SD Gugus Mayor Metra Denpasar Utara in academic year 2016/2017.
