PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN THINK PAIR SHARE TERHADAP MOTIVASI BELAJAR DAN HASIL BELAJAR IPS SISWA KELAS V SD DI GUGUS VII KECAMATAN SUKASADA TAHUN PELAJARAN 2016/2017

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah kurangnya motivasi siswa dalam belajar dan rendahnya nilai siswa dalam mata pelajaran IPS. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar IPS antara siswa kelas V yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Think Pair Share dan siswa kelas V yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran yang berpusat pada guru. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah post test only control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD di Gugus VII Kecamatan Sukasada tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Sampel diambil dengan teknik simple random sampling. Sebanyak 45 siswa kelas V SD di Gugus VII Kecamatan Sukasada dipilih sebagai sampel. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan kuesioner dan tes pilihan ganda. Data yang telah dikumpulkan dianalisis dengan uji Manova (Multivariate Analysis of Varians). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) terdapat perbedaan secara siginifikan terhadap motivasi belajar antara siswa kelas V yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Think Pair Share dan siswa kelas V yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran yang berpusat pada guru (F hitung sebesar 143,323;sig = < 0,05); 2) terdapat perbedaan secara siginifikan terhadap hasil belajar IPS antara siswa kelas V yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Think Pair Share dan siswa kelas V yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran yang berpusat pada guru (F hitung sebesar 11,227, df;sig = < 0,05); 3) terdapat perbedaan secara siginifikan terhadap motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar IPS secara bersama–sama antara siswa kelas V yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Think Pair Share dan siswa kelas V yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran yang berpusat pada guru (F hitung =75.438;sig = < 0,05). Berdasarkan temuan di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Think Pair Share berpengaruh positif terhadap motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar IPS siswa.Kata Kunci : model pembelajaran Think Pair Share, motivasi belajar, hasil belajar IPS
The problems of this research were the lack of students’ motivation in learning and the students’ low score in social science. This research was intended to know the difference of learning motivation and social science’s result between 5th grade students taught by Think Pair Share learning model and 5th grade students taught by teacher-centered learning. Research design used in this research was post test only control group design. The population of this research was the 5th grade elementary school students in cluster 7 of Sukasada district academic year 2016/2017. The sample was taken by using simple random sampling technique. 45 5th grade elementary schools students in cluster 7 of Sukasada district were chosen as the sample. The data was collected by questionnaire and multiple choices test. The data collected was analyzed by Manova (Multivariate Analysis of Variants) test. The result of the study showed that there was a significant difference toward learning motivation between 5th grade students taught by Think Pair Share learning model and the 5th grade students taught by teacher-centered leaning (Farithematic is 143,323;sig = < 0,05). It was also found that there was a significant difference in social science learning result between 5th grade students taught by Think Pair Share learning model and the 5th grade students taught by teacher-centered leaning (F arithematic = 11,227, df;sig = < 0,05). Furthermore, it was found that there was a significant difference toward learning motivation and social science learning result concurrently between 5th grade students taught by Think Pair Share learning model and the 5th grade students taught by teacher-centered leaning (F arithematic =75.438;sig = < 0,05). Based on these findings, it can be concluded that Think Pair Share learning model issued positive effects toward learning motivation and social science learning result.
