PENGARUH MODEL DISCOVERY LEARNING TERHADAP KOMPETENSI PENGETAHUAN IPA SISWA KELAS VI SD GUGUS YOS SUDARSO KECAMATAN DENPASAR SELATAN TAHUN PELAJARAN 2016/2017

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan yang signifikan kompetensi IPA antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model discovery learning dan kelompok yang dibelajarkan menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional pada siswa kelas VI semester II SD Gugus Yos Sudarso Kecamatan Denpasar Selatan tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan eksperimen semu. Desain eksperimen yang digunakan adalah “Nonequivalent control group design”. Populasi dalam penelitian ini ialah kelas VI SD Gugus Yos Sudarso dengan banyak siswa 261. Untuk menentukan sampel terlebih dahulu masing-masing kelas VI di SD Gugus Yos Sudarso diberikan pre-test, hasil pre-test siswa diuji analisis kesetaraan. Di dapat dua sampel yang telah diundi yaitu satu kelompok ekspreimen dan satu kelompok kontrol. Kelas VIA SDN 12 Sanur sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelas VIC SDN 10 Sanur sebagai kelompok kontrol. Pembelajaran di kelas eksperimen dan kontrol sama-sama diberikan sebanyak 6 kali, dan diberikan pos-test terakhir untuk mengetahui penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPA. Untuk Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode tes. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji-t. Hasil analisis data diperoleh thitnung 4,139 sedangkan pada taraf signifikansi 5% dan dk = 63 diperoleh nilai ttabel = 2,000 sehingga thitung 4,139 > ttabel 2,000. Berdasarkan kriteria pengujian, maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Berarti ada perbedaan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan penerapan model discovery learning diperoleh X = 70,09, sedangkan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional diperoleh X = 62,06. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model discovery learning berpengaruh terhadap kompetensi pengetahuan IPA siswa kelas VI SD Gugus Yos Sudarso Kecamatan Denpasar Selatan Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017.Kata Kunci : Discovery Learning, pembelajaran IPA, Kompetensi Pengetahuan.
This study aims to determine the significant differences of science competence between groups of students who were taught by the model of discovery learning and the group that was taught using conventional learning in grade 6 students in second semester of SD Gugus Yos Sudarso, South Denpasar District, lesson year 2016/2017. The type of research conducted in this study is quantitative research with quasi experiments. The experimental design used is "Nonequivalent control group design". The population in this study is class VI SD Gugus Yos Sudarso with many students 261. To determine the first sample each class VI in SD Gugus Yos Sudarso given pre-test, the results of the student's pre-test were tested equality analysis. Two samples were drawn, one experimental group and one control group. VIA SDN 12 Sanur class as experimental group and VIC SDN 10 Sanur class as control group. The learning in the experimental and control class is equally given 6 times, and is given the last post-test to know the mastery of science knowledge competence. To collect data in this research is done by test method. The data obtained were analyzed using the t-test. The result of data analysis obtained by thitnung 4,139 while at significance level 5% and dk = 63 obtained ttable value = 2.000 so tcount 4,139> ttable 2,000. Based on the testing criteria, then H0 is rejected and Ha accepted. Means there are differences of research results indicate that with the application of discovery learning model obtained X = 70.09, while the group of students who were taught by conventional learning obtained X = 62.06. So it can be concluded that the application of discovery learning model influences the knowledge competence of science students of grade VI SD Gugus Yos Sudarso, South Denpasar District Lesson Year 2016/2017.
